Omicron hospitalisation risk around one third of Delta but SP will still fall on opening tomorrow...

My take, SP may fall a little in jan/feb but then rise rapidly as the world recovers from covid either by vaccination or by having got covid....either way the world is on course to get 'herd immunity' ....

i sold all and bought back in on the last tree shake... a bit of luck... but one thing is for certain this share is definitely undervalued, and when it takes of (it may have already started since my average is 130's and we are now 140's) it may be subtle. Omicron is a god thing bc it is surplanting the Delta variant and that in turn saves lives....
Oh and i long ago filtered the Twa ts on here... here's my list. they are full of **** more than trump! so i don't even waste my time scanning what they've wrote and i am the much happier (and richer) for not reading their crap..
gla and happy NY 22

I previously posted i'd be very annoyed if it went to 1oo as i couldn't see that happening and worse than loosing money would be to admit Oracle was right.... luckily my common sense prevailed, i bought all in last week, nice and low :-)
sure it will be a bumpy ride. i'm just happy im in and managed to seriously average down... happy days!

Disclosure 0- I'm 2/3rds invested, still 33% dry powder... but is this the bottom? No i don't think so...This is why...

study by South Africa's largest private health insurance administrator, Discovery Health, showed that protection against catching COVID-19 had slumped from 80% to 33%....
I'm selling 33% more to protect myself going forward...
GLA
ps just sold with a 1000 loss which is nothing compared to the amount invested, happy to wait this one out as I think this will still drop...
@ Danphonic
my average is currently 137, was lucky to average down. just toying with when to put in more dry powder....
was expecting this to go red today as risks over week end are greater than the positives... not the first time i'm wromg but day hasnt finished yet lol
GLA
the increase in charges will affect the bottom line.... and the SP
and it will affect the low cost more but then again it wont as gatwick not increasing fees like LHR...
expecting red today as week end and too volatile to buy and hold over week end...

@IAG
thanks for the post ... quote from that same post:
"Chan added, "By infecting many more people, a very infectious virus may cause more severe disease and death even though the virus itself may be less pathogenic. Therefore, taken together with our recent studies showing that the Omicron variant can partially escape immunity from vaccines and past infection, the overall threat from Omicron variant is likely to be very significant."
I would be cautious in using the words "not severe", this is definitely a case of context! as it looks like it could kill more people simply bc it is more virulent!

Not afraid and what you've posted is not credible, so I know you're not a genuin vet...
just on here to rile people.
Congratulations you made it to my filter list, don't have time for ....what do you call em? ah yes Idiots :-)
@Fordm
Whilst you may have a point in your criticisms of government actions, or lack of, hoping for war is not the answer and to suggest as much shows incredible naivety.
You obviously have never been to war or seen the true nature of war close up.... if you had you wouldn't wish for war for when it knocks on your door it is more horrifying than covid ... I'm guessing your sub 40 and do nothing other than troll the web and have never been to war!
back on point, still a lot to happen with this share and governments around the world...
Sadly I think this will be repeated across the world......just a matter of time.
the good thing about O is that if enough people get infected and quick enough then the uK will get herd immunity...

Whilst I am still a big investor in IAG I cant see why today will be a blue day (not saying it wont just cant see what would drive it blue...)
Yesterday started blue and finished 5% down... In the absence of definitives and HARD evidence this might still fall as the numbers have yet to reach peak numbers both in deaths and in infections...and when that happens what will the Govt do? How will they react?
Then we have this all over again but in other countries... many are locking down, so even if .UK stay open if other countries lock borders that will also mean cancelled flights. As long as transatlantice stays open IAG will survive but if the close those routes it will be in serious trouble.
I have dry powder and as tempting as it is at these prices I'm not sure we are at the bottom yet... time will tell.
