oil down 3.5% again...this is good news. Inflation should come down if oil slides. Good for airlines , not for oil stocks. Lets hope they slide. I had sold them all high but might nibble at them again if they go down. IAG up 3.5%. It will come good. Below £1 is for dreamers only!!!! Ftse started well today but travel stocks unchanged..hopefully we get a lift this pm. Flights are all full and airports are very busy. All looking good despite the media scaremongering. The results in july will confirm a busy summer and very busy winter ahead. Dyor.

Second half of the year will def be interesting. Some flight cancellations now but still a busy summer, flights will be consolidated and therefore will be full to the rim. Now, what will happen in the winter???oh well, i think it will be a winter like no other, flights will increase and more people will travel..demand will be huge. WINTER 2022 = HUGE DEMAND. Jtan, relax, no official date has been given!! I guess they are negotiating as we speak. Also, i guess the problem lies with other negotiations that took place (The dispute centres on a pay deal negotiated earlier this year that saw some lower-paid employees at the airline get a 10 per cent pay raise. The union accepted the deal on the basis that the amount being offered was the very best that British Airways could afford and that no higher offer would be made.
The agreement, however, included a so-called ‘me too’ clause which, in the event that BA did find extra money for a particular group of workers, would be extended to every other workgroup represented by Unite).
So i guess the money involved would be rather large but with inflation running this high they have to pay workers more especially after the paycut they had to endure. DYOR.

Scotty, I guess they will give them back the 10% they are owed as they are not asking for a 10% payrise. It would be silly no to when things are going back to normal and IAG is going to be profitable this year. Also, if they pay their staff an OK wage, they will stay longer, acquire experience and give a better customer service. That will translate in more people using the airline so I think they 10% will pay for itself. Strikes would cause them to miss a good summer again, can they really afford that??Not really! DYOR.
