The 9.1% rise in the consumer price index was in line with expectations from economists in a Reuters poll and slightly higher than the 9% increase recorded in April.
Consumer prices rose by 0.7% month-on-month in May, slightly above expectations for a 0.6% rise but well short of the 2.5% monthly increase in April, indicating that inflation is slowing somewhat.
Of note, INFLATION IS SLOWING SOMEWHAT.

jtan, oil down quite a bit which is always seen as a positive for airlines. We need that. In the meantime , remember IAG is flying full planes and making more profits as oil prices come down(Minus 4% now). IAG is only down fractionally...now, yesterday on the other hand, i recall being up more than 8 pence. And today we might still end up, we were up before by over 2pence...I didn't see you commenting on that when it was up 2 pence. explain?
Ezj only going down due to strike announcement, they were up earlier before that.Check it out. Also ftse not up by much. The important thing is to be profitable this quarter which IAG will be..and the shares will reflect that price. results soon now..DYOR.

iag share price faring better though....barely down, we might finish positive depending on US markets which are called a lot higher..usually we follow their lead.EZJ only down because of strikes but that could be solved with an agreement between the 2 sides. I still think we are on the way up now as we feel too low the other day...bounced quite nicely at support..GLA

Jtan, 40% of what they get is a drop in the ocean! its the spanish bases that are going on strike and their basic is around Euros 950 a month. If you think thats too much, i can only guess you earn less than that or maybe you earn a lot more and you should get a paycut!!!do you really think its fair??

I am still buying at these silly prices..its better than buying at £5 or £6, right??one thing is for sure, it won't go down much more if it does and i really doubt it. I know people want a lower entry but lower than this, realllyyyyyy???

So Crazyyear you have answered the question yourself.. too many people want a lower entry price here and that is for a reason otherwise they would move on...it makes me think there is a high expectation with this share ....when things stabilise, it will take off as it is a sound business...and people on here know...people are circling and that is a good sign..shorts will exit at some point and with lots of possible positive catalysts in the future this share will do extremely well...I like nibbling at the share price at these prices...no brainer if you ask me..DYOR.

not sure what the ballot is for but by friday this might be at 1.30or higher...its way oversold at the moment IMO. Up to you buddy!! dyor.
