Are Cineworld actually likely to release interim results in the coming weeks? There is nothing pencilled in the financial calendar.

OK I’ll give you casinos due to touch screens, slots, handing cash and chips etc. Not sure about bowling though. Can’t be any worse than going to a pub or bar which is allowed surely.

Yes I went to see a film today.
Yes I felt safe.
It wasn’t packed, there were a few in. But it was 12:30 pm during the day on Friday.

The staff were in high spirits.

If you are a cinema you can reopen, but if you are a casino or a bowling alley you cannot. WTF. Can anyone explain the logic in that to me? Don’t get me wrong, I’m delighted that CINE has now reopened in the UK. However, I find it concerning that the government is now reversing its decisions to reopen what I consider to be very similar businesses to cinema in terms of safety profile.

I don't know a lot about Mooky. I should probably do some further research into him considering I've got a significant holding here. I get the impression that he is quite highly regarded by many on this board.

Just had a quick look through the last 50 trades from yesterday afternoon and have noted that there were quite a few sizeable off book trades following the closing auction at 4:30 pm. £99.60K, £100.28K, £99.10K, £98.59K, £97.75K, £36.37K, £309.29K.

Yeah. I've just been studying the YTD charts. They might not follow each other exactly day to day, but there's clearly s a strong correlation between the two curves as you would expect. Will be interesting to see if CINE bounces tomorrow.

Interesting to see that Cineworld closed up 10.91% today on the US exchange.

If there are results due out in the coming weeks that are expected to be bad, it makes sense that some traders might bet on the price heading down by opening a short position. However, that does not mean that in the medium to long term the business will not survive and the share price won't recover. A short position can be closed just as quickly as it has been opened. Assuming the company survives, anyone who bought in recently and waits around here for a bit is likely to make some money.

Depends if you’ve seen it before on the big screen I think. I’m not really a hardcore filmie but I’m taking the opportunity to go see Empire Strikes Back on the big screen on Friday.

I seem to recall AML got crucified on results day. But then it came good a short time afterwards and made rapid gains. Lots of parallels with CINE. Question marks over businesses ability to service debt drove it down despite reassurances from the management. Then all of a sudden... boom. Investor sentiment suddenly changed and it flew.

I'm definitely in for what will be a one bag for me at £1.00. I'm not sure whether I will exit at that point or not. I'd kind of like to stay in for £2.00 which I think is potentially achievable within a couple of years. Will have to re-evaluate the entire situation when the time comes and make a decision. I'm still very confident about the long term prospects for this business.
