Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
CEO states : I am expecting the next few months to be an exciting time for the Company, and believe we are well placed to take advantage of the opportunities available to us. I am therefore looking forward to updating our shareholders on our progress over the coming weeks."
The CEO stated this about Wick : Steve Staley, CEO of Upland Resources Limited, said: "I am delighted to announce this deal, which will (subject to completion) move the Company into the second phase of our strategy. The Wick Prospect and other potential targets within P2235 could host large volumes of hydrocarbons which, with near term drilling, gives Upland a clear pathway to potentially transformative value growth." So Wick alone is classed as Transformational for the company in the eyes of the CEO.
John This is what the Chairman stated within the Annual Report RNS (27-Oct-17): "The first phase calls for the acquisition of stakes in assets with a favourable risk/reward balance that can provide Upland with revenue to underpin its ongoing costs and to help finance the second phase. The second phase involves securing assets with potentially higher risk than Phase 1, but with the potential to be transformational for the Company." Here is a link outlining Uplands strategy and potential assets: http://uplandres.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Upland-Resources-AGM-Presentation-December-2017.pdf (PAGE 12 /13 highlights what could be transformational ) Hope this answers your question.
Posted on advfn by Zengas: From AEI 10/10/17 Former BP exec Stephen Staley plans offshore comeback UK-based junior is hoping to soon see an outcome from its lengthy talks with the Moroccan government to acquire a permit in the country's offshore. The company has been in negotiations for several months after its teams identified several blocks following due diligence work and geophysical surveys of the area. Upland boss, geologist Stephen Staley, is an expert in North Africa's oil sector. Staley, who previously worked for ConocoPhillips and BP, founded Irish junior Fastnet Oil and Gas in 2011. Fastnet had formed a partnership with American Kosmos Energy on the Moroccan Foum Assaka license, and at one point had contemplated purchasing the Tendrara permit. In 2005, Staley set up Independent Resources, which held a 13.82% stake in Ksar Hadada. Staley, who was a consultant for British concern Cove Energy in East Africa currently sits on the board of 88 Energy a junior active in Alaska. Upland, which holds a portfolio of onshore assets in the UK, is also carrying out prospecting operations in Malaysia and has key staff experienced in handling assignments in the region. Company chairman, Norza Zakaria, previously worked at Malaysia state-owned company Petronas, and Datuk Bolhassan, a member of Upland's board or directors, was formerly the assistant minister at the ministry of infrastructure development and communication in Kuala Lumpur.
http://www.malcysblog.com/ Upland Resources I wanted to catch up with Steve Staley, CEO of Upland Resources following their recent announcement of a farm-in with Corallian Energy for a 40% WI in UK block 11/24b which contains the exciting Wick Prospect and managed to get some time with him this morning. Apart from some UK onshore with Ineos I hadnt really done much work on Upland but SS has a fantastic record in the industry so should be watched very carefully. Upland have done a lot of prep work on this licence and plan to drill the prospect in late 2018 but with an estimated in-place P50 resources of around 250m bbls it may well be worth the wait. The key risk that has been identified I understand is the fault closure but apparently if the faults seal then this is a very big structure indeed, in fact his words were it sticks out like a sore thumb.

and for those on the sidelines here is an interview with Stephen Staley late last year explaining all about the company and where we intends to take it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tse_ws7Jsrg
Oh dear indeed lol :)) If you want to discuss it, let's discuss it. Happy to engage in conversation. Do you think my statement is wrong ? If so then happy to hear why. Let's have a disussion instead of providing an 'oh dear' statement as if I'm someone who hasn't a clue. :)))
Waiting for asset news, possibly linked to Sarawak ( see upl"s twitter feed) If you haven't heard the latest pod cast from Dr Steve then go to Uplands website and click on the media tab. He indicates that he hopes to have asset news in about 3 -6 months time. The pod cast was broadcasted around 23rd March.
It certainly is. What's not to like about this ? We have a great management team lead by a very well respected and experienced individual, we have no debt with a low market cap and the BOD hold 38% of total shares. ...and don't forget about that golden cross which is approaching :-))))
