I read 70% of SVB balance sheet was made up of Bonds and Government Gilts, only a few years back these was seen / rated as safe as houses assets to buy and hold on anyone's retirement plan by Pension providers

As we know Bonds and Government Gilts have dropped in value due to the rising interest rates

Good news is Lloyds Banking Groups Assets are loans and mortgages so will prosper on any rising interest rate and as will all UK Banks as they hold minimal bonds and Gilts on their Balance sheets ( 15% )

Lloyds 3% drop on Friday the Market having a bit of panic fun

Lloyds will finish 51p plus again tomorrow IMHO

I was all for selling Scottish Widows as you know , but today happy to keep in house while doing the Buy Backs :-)

No brainer... Not no goer :-)

I personally feel Lloyds Banking Group as a whole is way undervalued by the Market, so investing in one self is a no goer in my eyes .

For years everyone was saying we had too many shares on the market so our Charlie boys answering our concerns
and buying back Billions and cancelling them.

We all want it now that's true

But I am sure to be sure Long term we see the benefits of buy backs here in a few more year's and we hopefully see a higher share price once Charlie is have he cancelled as many shares as possible below net asset value (76p)

Dividend is ok so bring on more buy backs until the cow's come home :-)

We will open above 50p on Monday

Just another opportunity to increase the holding and while increasing the Dividend in come in 2023

Still a man's game ?

I was only wondering if there are any woman that are regular posters on here that actually trade or invest in shares?

On one of the Financial programs like Bloomberg the other day I noticed the panel was all women talking about the stock market the other day. What to buy and what not to buy

Are these women just faces to keep the media woke brigade happy or are woman really investing like men do directly in this modern world.

Also the dozens of woman I've dated over the years all have never been interested in buying shares as they all be risk adverse.

Surely I am not the only one here

I set a £1000 top up at 50p this morning

I find it fascinating that investors are happy to sell up while Lloyd's Banking Group shares are still at low prices IMHO

She or he been moaning on this Lloyds board for 13 years now

Yep you certainly you get moaners down the local and yes I go down the Pub to enjoy my time and avoid the moaners like the plague as they bring you down with them.

Well if no-one else likes us we just have to carry on buying back our own shares for as long as it takes IMHO

Saved dividend payments, looking likely to be around GBP 20,000,000 come ex-dividend date , a nice saving

Maybe we can just buy back some more shares with the unwanted Dividend money recouped
