Lloyds Banking Group have now bought back and cancelled near to 6,000,000,000 ( 6 Billion ) shares over the last 13 months or so and the share price has not budged an inch.

Something's got to give soon IMHO

Sadly that's the million Dollar Question

Its a game of waiting and see if the market rewards us in the long run

As its stands today as I gather

10% of the Rights Issue was taken up by the underwriters at 494p

The underwriters are not investors just taking fees / commissions to underwriting the Rights Issue so TUI get their money the wanted to raise.

The Underwriters will not be able to sale and make profit until the 24/04/2023 when the ''Rump'' is tradable on the open market.

So its squeaky bum time for the Underwriters as the share price today is 560p well above the Rump price and can make a good profit if this stays around 560p 24/04/2023

So expect fireworks on Monday 24/04/2023 and for a for a few days

I might buy some around the 350p to 450p mark for a little side bet here

I agree the few days after ex-dividend date is a good period for our buy back programme before the share price goes back above 50p again next week.
