I will believe the hype once it breaks 80p as it was there not so long ago
Whilst the rumours are welcome, this is not a game and I will believe only when a RNS is issued. Still, at least it's positive this morning.
OK. I have been watching THG for a while and made a decision. £110k at 61.7p. My reasoning is based on the logic of THG being worth kore than the sum of its parts (Also the recent Kelso investment). The SP may fluctuate over the next few months but it is making money and one the golden share expires then a takeover/breakup will come.
I have put my money where my mouth is and will sit this out. They are not going bust so a market value of well over £1B is expected and probably a lot more.
Lots of chat on this board with most of it absolute rubbish.
See you all in a year when there is a takeover. The SP will be all over the place before then of course
I get it. I am just frustrated that the SP seems to struggle all day then lifts at the end. Happy with 24.48p as I am back in at 28p'ish with a good bundle. It's just when I see Halfords (of which I have a lot) rising like today as well as STJ and Hargreaves Lansdowne then it becomes frustrating. Sometimes I think I should sell everything and retire but the lure of the Markets is strong. How much is enough I ask myself? I never know the answer, of course
It should have reached 30p already. Nasdaq is up 16% ytd whilst CPI is up around 12%. Lots of opportunities to make money and CPI is lagging behind the likes of M&S, ASOS, Hargreaves Lansdowne, STJ amongst many others.
That's me out again with a tidy profit after my last trade. I totally get CPI are on the mend however I am nervous about the Fed rate decision today and think we could get 0.5% instead of the expected 0.25%. This will temporarily spook the markets. We have ad a good run and I will take a breather.
All imho of course so good luck to all. I will be back if it drops to 25p'ish. (it might not, of course)
Interesting reading the posts. Some are knowledgeable, some have no idea, some are hopeful and some are attacking others. All I would say is PI's know nothing apart from what is in the public domain and must wait until we see how the SP pans out. What we do know is that CPI was a basket case. Lots of unstainable debt and loss of contracts. So the SP fell to 20P as that is what it was worth. Over the past year it has bounced around from 20p to 30p (lots of opportunities to trade and make a tidy sum). Now things are beginning to look a lot more positive and the markets as a whole are pricing in lower inflation and perhaps only one more interest rate rise, hence the SP rise over the last month or so. Its now at a price where it will either break out above 29.78p or it will not in which case it my fall back to 25p'ish.
Now it's down to Capita to show they really are on the right track. The problem for me is we have had no news recently. So, we have lots of PI's "hoping" for good news in March. I don't buy into "hope". I rely on "facts". So, where do we go from here? Answers on a postcard please.. and try and be nice to each other.
Time will tell, of course but the buyers look thin on the ground today. Perhaps things will change later today with Bank earnings season in the US
I had a bundle of those from 138p but sold out well before today.. Now hoping for some good news with CPI
and I am back in :)
Took my profit. My view is that there have been low volumes over the week however there has been a decent rally. 11% will do me fine but I will be back at sometime.
GLA.
I don't see any "renewed vigour". I see the markets rallying somewhat and CPI being high beta, rallying too (along with others). Still, it's very welcome.
To add: I would like to see some chunky Director buys as this would show belief in the Company.
These are the times when you have to take a decision. Is this business going to prospect or not? Sure, they have had, and still have, their problems, however debt has been the killer here and that is reducing. I hear some of you saying what happened to the rights monies and it's a fair question however the company continues to gain contracts and continues to reduce debt. is 25p good value? In my view yes. So, I am in for 90k from earlier in the week. Time to walk away from the markets for a bit as it is very volatile but upside against downside is nailed on. Its just a question of time. Certainly out of favour with the city but not really surprising to be fair.
DYOR and all that but I personally feel this is cheap and there is plenty of potential to get back into the 40s which, historically, is still massively cheap.
Looks cheap so I am in. I need a new bike and I hope this share will buy it for me
Well, that was hardly worth waiting for.
Nothing in there to suggest a rise in the SP which makes me worry it will do the opposite. depends on the institutional investors
That's unfortunate given the bounce today. Hopefully, you will have banked some profit.
Pleased with the rise today so but still well off the pace from a few days ago.
Hoping for some good results tomorrow and an increase in the dividend
Probably come down to what the institutions think and whether they increase their holdings.
volume is good from O trades. SP is higher. nice start!
