A friend in recruitment once told me how they screen applications for ‘trigger words’, and if an application matches these trigger words then it goes through to the next stage. The process does not determine that it is a strong application, merely that it contains certain words or attributes that the company is looking for. Many good applications do not get beyond this point. I liken this process to an RNS. There are certain trigger words or phrases that send investors in to orgasmic ecstasy, or conversely, the depths of doom. Many an RNS has excellent, upbeat and positive information but may be missing a trigger word and gets kicked out. For what it’s worth, the latest RNS is a very positive update in my opinion.
