The relationship between the AstraZeneca vaccine and the ODX home antibody test will need spelling out to the public in clear concise language - almost scripted. As an investor I know what Colin King had for breakfast, your average journalist wouldn't know who Colin King is. What I am saying is that journalists will not ask the right questions to establish the relationship - it will need spelling out to them.

1: MHRA approval is being politically delayed until a home test can be linked with a trace app.
2: Ditching the Consortium would not cause a public outcry as most people don’t know it exists. It could be collateral damage, mourned only by the well- researched on these boards, (I don’t think this will happen by the way).
3: I agree that release of the AstraZeneca vaccine will drive the antibody home test kit demand, triggering its MHRA approval and announcing a re-vamped trace app.
4: Colin King was at pains to stress in the last two presentations that the ‘core business’ is in excellent shape and should not be ignored. The core business was not covid related.
This is my simplistic view of where we are. For what it is worth I am comfortably invested here and if I am right in what I am saying I expect to make a lot of money here. Trust your research and do what is right for you.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency is an executive agency of the Department of Health and Social Care in the United Kingdom which is responsible for ensuring that medicines and medical devices work and are acceptably safe. As such, any approvals can be politically withheld or fast-tracked I am guessing. Given the time taken since submission, and the relatively simple procedure being evaluated, the delay has to be politically motivated. For me it has to be that the trace system is not ready to meet the demands of the home test boom.

Reading this I think that there is going to be a huge demand for out tech', and that is just in this country. Lets think global shall we!

My decision to invest in MWG (now DVRG) was met with snorts of derision from some and a somewhat aloof cry of ‘really??’ from others. You see, these people had already ‘tried’ MWG. “Been there, done that, bought the T.shirt Stu – moved on”.
It seems that MWG was a share that a lot of people had dipped into, a few stayed, many moved on. “Great tech’, they’re all over the world, but company is drifting”.
Undeterred, my research stacked up and I chose to invest. Some of Muggins’ comments do resonate and will send a shiver down the spine of some of the longterm holders, who are maybe still wearing the T.shirt. But we have moved on, and at quite a pace I might add. We are not the perfect company, (yet) but dragging baggage doesn’t help. Learn from your mistakes.
This is still, in my eyes, a company finding its identity and establishing credibility in a huge market, and making a pretty good fist of it. Maybe some of us need to find a new T.shirt.

Good find SloppyGuiseppe. I can see a time in the not so distant future, whereby travel insurance will only be issued subject to the individual demonstrating they are Covid clear. That may be vaccine certification (longer term) or travel pass as proposed by DVRG. You can be sure that the insurance sector will be all over this.

If the blood is Covid infected - to me that is a hazard., differs from other blood tests such as diabetes.

I have tried to rationalize the delayed MHRA approval for the POC hometest kit. As was rightly pointed out by other posters, such lateral flow tests have been around for years. I speculated, on this board, that it was being held back until a credible test and trace was established and I did raise the issue of clinical waste. I am now thinking that a problem with home use is how 'clinical waste' i.e. the test kit, is disposed of. Before I get shot down in flames because diabetics etc. have used such technology, their blood waste was not a biohazard. Overdramatic - maybe, but it may be something as simple as how to we dispose of the used tests or even transport them that is causing the delay.

In days before the internet (yes those days existed), Winnifroth's 'headlines' would have been in a newspaper (remember them). They said that todays headline is tomorrows fish and chip wrapper as back in the day fish 'n' chips were wrapped in old newspaper. Not as punchy as I would have liked but had to explain for the younger element here.
