Accreditations, associations, etc. does make our product more attractive but we are a manufacturing company, it is confirmed orders that will move the share price. Let's leave it there shall we. The orders will come.

It is fun to speculate on a share price, especially when there is a positive sentiment, it does get the blood flowing. I do always remind myself though, that we are a manufacturing company and we need orders. MHRA approvals etc. make our products more attractive/salable and open up more markets, but ultimately we need orders. When these start showing up, and they will, then is the time to get excited.

MHRA approval is being sought for ease of home use not efficacy. If this approval is being deliberately withheld for political expedience, and has prevented people making informed decisions based on home results, I strongly believe there is a case for criminal negligence. The lateral flow technology has been around for years, and used at home, so after months of deliberation we still can’t get an MHRA decision? Sorry something is very wrong with the approval process and in the cold light of day people will need to be made accountable for an unacceptable delay.

1: The MHRA for the home test is for ease of use not efficacy. This is existing and well used technology. For me an unacceptable delay.
2: More transparency required. Test, test, test, what test??
3: Once tested, what are the implications of the results, how are they recorded and what are the implications for that individual?

Vast was on my radar long before I decided to invest. My concerns were poor management, their penchant for placings, a constantly delayed JORC and a few other things. The historical resource data, existing infrastructure, prospect of diamond opportunity led me to believe ‘it could work’ and the benefits would outweigh the risk. I tried to mitigate some of the risk and waited until the new equipment had been delivered and commissioned, and a delivery date has been set for the first sales before stumping up my hard earned. Then the alarm bells started ringing. A bridge collapse prior to first delivery suggested poor maintenance regimes or another excuse for a placement. Then further delays and excuses and now the protracted issue with the finance. My research is a lot more superficial than many on here but I expect a good return on my money despite the management team rather than because of them. Imagine where we could be with even a half decent management set-up. Good luck to all holders – you deserve so much more than these guys are delivering.

Excellent news

Bit of a low key/under the radar announcement DD77. I thought I might have missed a much bigger announcement but can't find anything relating to domestic machines. For me this is huge news and had hoped to see a follow up with some contract news.

Saw this article and thought 'wow, this is massive'!! Hope the market appreciates what we have here, more to the point, hope manufacturers adopt this technology in any new designs.

So no consolidation but a period of managed growth. Just added that to my research file with a smiley face next to it. Another good interview with Gerrard struggling to contain his enthusiasm for what is to come.

If MHRA approval for the lateral flow home test has been deliberately withheld, (I have speculated in previous posts that it was, 'for political expedience'), could Omega take legal action against them? A bit of a minefield I know and the challenge of proving that it has been deliberately withheld could be a major hurdle but it is having a significant impact on the company. Interesting scenario to ponder whilst we wait.

Not for me KahunaJim, that's what Facebook is for. I think it devalues some of the excellent research and comments posted on here. If, like me, you have other investments and read other boards you will know how frustrating it is.

I am happy to read contrarian views but choose to filter those that post utter drivel, be they rampers or derampers. It is therefore increasingly frustrating to read, ordinarily good posters, constantly making reference to those I have filtered and clogging up the board. As we get to the business end of this share, please avail yourself of the filter button and this board will make much better reading. Many thanks.

I agree for the man in the street TWatcher but I am also referring to journalists, presenters and newspapers that at this stage should be digging a bit deeper in to the detail. I do fall in to the trap of knowing more because of my research but there is a lot of lazy and misleading journalism going on.

Does anybody else feel that the term 'testing' has become a generic throw-away line used by all. In articles and news reports it fails to establish what kind of test, how it is administered and what follow up is required. They use the term as if we all should know what the test is. Please give some clarity and a mention of ODX wouldn't go amiss (like that is going to happen!!)
