ps originally from New Zealand, now in Bristol ..... good geographic spread !
Nothing against people from the London and the South East but l'm kind of glad that not everybody on this board is from there ! Think we have a nice geographic spread going on ....
Bristol ..... top of the table !
l've been buying KR1 on an HL Stocks & Shares ISA / fill or kill order if that's any help ..... very quick
Also invested in KR1 (going up nicely today) and COIN (relatively small amount) and of course ARB ..... seems like a nice spread in crypto / decentralised finance, all doing fine so far.
Topped up yesterday at 227.00 and today at 232.00 : hopefully they'll prove good decisions by the end of the month and beyond
Yes, it's a good shout to all those conservatively minded Telegraph investors, for ARB and KR1 as well : very good publicity !
Thanks Blonity. l'm a latecomer / amateur to all of this but am enjoying the ride and have found your video analysis a really great resource. Some favourite lines are 'the deeper you hold the ball beneath the water, the higher it will go once it is released' (even l understand that bit) and 'please do something good with your money, it's not just about getting a new Lambo'. Great stuff , thankyou :) ps just trying to top up my pension, not interested in Lambos.
Thanks for the replies .... genuinely interesting for me, looks like my 15% exposure in crypto is on the conservative side, maybe l'll nudge up to 20% but that'll probably be it, for the time being at least.
Same as HantsBoy, l have been able to buy online through HL on my Stocks & Shares ISA.
Just wondering roughly what percentage of people's overall portfolios are in the crytpo / blockchain sector ? Fairly new here and approaching retirement, so l'm just trying to get a decent pot of money together for that : approx 10% in Argo and 5% in KR1, so 15% in the sector altogether. l've never known anything so volatile, but quite enjoying it (some days obviously better than others !). Don't all shout at once .....
l'm also with HL, they'll only allow the govt limit of £20k pa in the Stocks & Shares ISA, so my guess is that you maybe have £20k in the ISA and then the rest in a Fund & Share account, which for some reason not visible to you. HL have provided a great service to me, so l'm sure they'll be able to explain it to you.
As somebody who's only recently started looking at the whole cryptocurrency game, it's interesting to watch the BTC price carry on fluctuating / doing its own thing over the weekend ..... $49,278 at the time of writing, looking good for Monday morning
Yeah l know, so do l ! l'm getting to be like one of the teenagers, down the Bitcoin shareprice rabbit hole :)
Totally agree with this ..... it's easy to become too obsessive about the price going up a bit or down a bit during the course of a day, or from day to day, or even week to week, constantly checking the price. It'll make you become like a teenager who has disappeared down the rabbit hole otherwise known as their mobile phone. Hold for the long term, much better for your mental health.
My average is 2.50 and l'm fine with it. Days like today are disconcerting (unless you're in a position to still buy) but you've got to look at it longer term. If it's 5.00 by the end of the year l'll be perfectly happy.
59 and hoping that a diverse portfolio of investments, including a good chunk of Argo, will allow me to move from a three day working week to just one or two or even zero : l just want to have good options / choices at this stage of my life.
