Although, according to the Final Results, AFC had 'commenced engineering design for an up to a 1MW fuel cell system for Dunsfold,' on which planning is still to be confirmed, they state that they have actually completed the basic engineering for a ">1MW AFC Energy fuel cell system' As yet we don't know where this >1MW system is to be sited as the Stade building could only hold a 500KW system. Therefore a question one could ask, is; why is the >1MW system already ready for detailed engineering, before the Dunsfold system?

Hi BB all I am doing is going on what is written Surely, if they were only building a smaller 330KW system that is what they would have written. If each stack has a separate feed which is identical to a 10KW feed then I can't see why they wouldn't make a 1MW system especially as they've had a 24 unit system (a replumbed Kore) available to play with for the last year. Otherwise perhaps you could interpret what; "Completed basic engineering of >1MW AFC Energy fuel cell system" means? Because I can't think of a different interpretation?

Hi BB it does actually say ; "Completed basic engineering of >1MW AFC Energy fuel cell system " which sounds to me like like they've actually built it already. It is interesting that they haven't made a big deal of it yet though. Possibly waiting on a commercial trial? It also doesn't say where it is. I still think that Kore as such is long gone and AFC are thinking of multi single stack systems. A sort of plug in system for any size system required.
