Will be interesting to see what happens to the SP early next week when the £1 billion buyback scheme is completed.
Also , at the end of the month, we shall see how many of the circa 1.6 billion shares bought back have been replaced by new shares issued. There were 72.086 hares in issue at 28/02

Total 10.67p

SP has fallen from about 75p to 60p in that time and
approx 1.4b shares have been bought back to date

A Npft trade is a trade which is subject to conditions other than market price. Having found that definition I am none the wiser !

HH currently limited to 10 HGV in and outs per day

As at last night buy back totalled 1.109 billion shares at a calculated cost of £709 million
At 28/02 declared shares in issue 72.086 billion
At 29/06 declared shares in issue 71.958 billion = - 0.128 billion

So far this month they have bought back 0.351 billion
Will be interesting to see what the shares in issue declaration is at the end of this month.

I conclude from this that without the buy back programme our shares would have been further diluted by at least 1 billion shares.

Why don't LLOY just hold 415 million of the buy back shares in treasury and hand them over to the bonus recipients as and when they fall due for exercise ?

If you go through the Holding RNS's the current figure is 78.57 % . An awful lot of money seem to believe the reward side outweighs the risk by a very large degree.

Will be interesting to see what their y/e cash position was. Started 2016 with £10m and dished out £5m in dividends plus £1m final payment for the purchase of Roxy. Historically they have been generating roughly £3m "surplus" cash each year so £7m cash at y/e would be expected. More than that and would likely see another special dividend. AIMO DYOR.

I wonder why the delay ? Virtually all transactions are electronic so can think of no obvious reason why no update has been given by now.

Just noticed the Directors dealings on the front page. The information on it re Harrisons dealings are wrong. It should read SELL not BUY - as per the RNS

I understood what you were saying. I didn't mean to imply you were comparing the two companies. I too cannot see any other reason for the sudden large drop. The market can be totally irrational at times.
