It's been a while but not the first post this year. I've been keeping abreast of the news flow here more or less. I am interested in WRES, as there's no doubting the potential here. However, there's plenty of doubting MM. This time last year, all the regulars were in a very bullish mood - MM had promised to have the funding deal sewn up by the end of September, and no dilution would be required. What happened? The funding was seriously late, and so he kicked shareholders in the nads with a placing at 0.375p.

I believe that's a fair comment and I'm entitled to do so on a public bulletin board...

Ref HUM - yes there are terrorist groups in Mali, confined to the north. The Yanfolila mine is in the south about 1000km away or so. Don't really know what caused the drop - helped by a weakness in the gold price and they need to firm up the mine life. I'm not invested there so feel free to knock it all you like - my stop loss kicked in long ago!

Anyway, hope all's well for you apart from this discussion here. I remember the heady GLR days and made a few pence on WRES too (on the rise pre-placement shafting).

The point of my post is that I firmly believe a placing is coming, and soon, and it is one of the primary reasons why I will hold off investing here.

Future cashflow, MM is having a laugh - only IF there are no hiccups - extremely rare.

Troajan, yes you could go on the HUM board and say "placing", however, it would have no substance as they have actually been generating plenty of cash from their active mine since Christmas.

WRES are a way off that, and MM is notorious for giving timetables and not keeping to them, and saying no dilution will be necessary etc etc.

You may be right Troajan. But based on past performance a placing is due if MM is to remain true to form.

Ref KM3C saying that MM said there would be no more placings...I say again leopard and spots! The project is on time and budget at the moment - we'll see - it's rare that the final delivery is so. And look what happened with HUM - on time and budget and the share price has depreciated by 50%!

Yes La Parilla is fully funded, but what about the rest of the projects and company overheads...

I am quite entitled to drop into a public board and express my opinion, am I not? Yes, I thought so. And regardless of the poster's motivation for selling at a reasonable short-term target of 50p, it is a sensible tactic. He was attacked for it, and I have defended him. Talk of £50/share at this stage isn't just hyperbole - it's utter turd. Better discuss the more "realistic" medium to longterm targets of £1 or £2.

It's quite frankly ludicrous to compare Nano to Apple. It's analagous to comparing any tiddler miner with say Anglo-American or the like.

Yes, very, very occasionally a company transitions from tiddler to giant, while 99+% fall by the wayside or only have mediocre success.

Talk of £50/share is pure pipedreaming, and the poster who wants out at 50p not only has a definite plan but also a realistic one.

For a genuine cup and handle situation there needs to be a good rise first, to form the left side of the cup. There has ben no such rise, as this share is in a downtrend, or at best a sideways trend, currently.

The argument for an "inverse" cup and handle, or assymetric head and shoulders, on a broader timeframe is much stronger.

ngnInv - suggest you check your "facts" again ref the mining sector. There was a major turning point at the end of 2015/start of 2016. Maybe that was before you started investing though...

That's ok ngnInv. Think you need to check your facts ref gold miners - they posted some fantastic gains throughout 2016 and well into 2017. It is indisputable that Trump is weighing on all miners - again a quick look across the miners will show that. More important to HUM though, as you point out, is the local instability. HUM have not put out any news about that since...my guess is that's because there isn't anything further to add at this juncture! HUM showed excellent communication with shareholders throughout 2017 and people sang their praises. It's only now that the share price has gone down that people start whinging. You have had every opportunity to sell, and still have, if you are not happy. I sold - it was the right decision. I sold because the share price action looked technically weak, not because I thought that HUM wasn't being well run. Shares prices move in cycles - there's no getting around it. Even good companies have downtrends and HUM is currently in one. What you do with those facts is up to you, but don't try and spin it into something it's not.

ngnInv - you're comparing different fruits there. CAP-XX is in an entirely different industry. Miners are being hammered across the board, courtesy of Trump's tariffs I believe and the ensuing global uncertainty. There are also countless examples, by many an AIM co, where an RNS have been released, in a fairly transparent way, in an attempt to bolster the share price. It usually doesn't work. You can't fight the tide. HUM are playing it right - release news when there is something newsworthy to release. Otherwise, keep on with the job of running the company as efficiently as possible and taking prudent steps towards securing long term supply and expansion.

Not sure what chart you are looking at there. The price has been in a "short" term downtrend for the last five months, within a larger bull trend. It is now getting to the point however, where something is likely to give, one way or the other. The direction of that give is highly uncertain at the moment (based purely on the chart). But on balance I feel a move to the upside is more likely (not likely enough to put my money in yet though I might add).

Fair enough - I can buy that argument (from a fundamental point of view). With ref to "under the radar", I assume you mean your radar?! I've followed this stock for several years.

Understood - but sentiment it very important. If gold starts to look bearish, even a little, the early birds start to sell their gold stocks in anticipation. Anyway, let's see how it plays out with the gold price. It's far from sure either way at the moment.

I thnk you are massively under-playing the impact of the POO on the recent moves by oilies. If you get a chart up of the leaders (GENL, GKP, PMO) and pop it against the POO, the synchronicity is a thing to behold. Then the laggards (SDX) come in a bit slower. But don't forget SDX has a pretty impressive rise in the previous couple of years. It's similar with gold. Gold has currently broken through $1300 support...is it a proper break to the downside or is it a false breakout? Hard to tell. Given the larger trend, it may well be the latter but it would take a brave, or very knowledgable man to go long on gold as I speak.

I keep tabs on this board from time to time, as I think HUM is a good company and is likely to come good (share price-wise) at some as yet unspecified point. I may have missed comment on it, but the elephant in the room here is the PRICE OF GOLD - it's going down! Ref the SDX example - you have only to look at the PRICE OF OIL to see why it has gone up! It was a laggard in that group (oilies) that finally woke up.
