Sands, I've no need to predict the right time to get in. There's going to have to be a materially positive RNS to turn the share price around (or the price of gold has to go to the moon) - i.e. "we're now making good money (AISC down to $800/oz), and debt is coming down etc. The share price will respond accordingly. It won't budge until then - time for Dan to prove it. Once (if) an uptrend is finally in place, it is likely it will continue for some time. Then you can pick your spot and hop on.

Endion - ok so out of the 3 you've picked there's only 1 quality company...GFM. What's the point in mentioning that GFM's expected PTP is about half of BMN's - it has no relevance as that is already baked into the PE.

GFM has massive scope for expansion as well. Both GFM and BMN look to be quality companies. The Q1 results are clearly all-important here for establishing confidence that production has improved - i.e. that BMN is continuing to deliver the promised growth. The chart for GFM looks MUCH better than that for BMN however, and this is not to be under-estimated.

2) Corporate action (by which I mean something definite in an RNS - e.g. one of the existing majors upping its stake, a 3rd major taking a stake (unlikely as there's no that much pie left to go round), takeover of CGP by a major). And of course a takeover bid for the whole of SOLG - but that scenario doesn't really need to be considered here as what I'm talking about is excitement generators (a full bid will just cause a huge jump all of a sudden, and it may be preceded by a drop caused by a news vacuum) - there will be no warning shot fired).

The PEA on it's own (without No.2) will not provide lasting appreciation in the share price in my opinion. In addition, the begging bowl is due to come round again soon. I assume that is why Quady has been focussing his posts on finance.

Perhaps because you'll find that profitable miners on PEs of 4 and 5 are ten a penny...A couple in the FTSE100 that are on decent PEs (10 and 12, although they were until recently much cheaper) are AAL and BHP.
