Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Call me boring but I was watching BBC Parliament a couple of days back and the select committee was interviewing people involved in the electric vehicle battery business. I only watched around 20mins of it before I had to go and do something else in the house and TM1s name wasn't brought up during the time I watched it, however this is exactly the exposure and openings which we need. I am sure that RB and his team are busy in the background doing the work necessary to get TM1s name out there. Wouldn't it be nice to read a newspaper report one day mentioning them and this would being the name to thousands if not millions more potential investors as the investment case behind the company is such a simple idea but utterly compelling.
May be a silly question and I apologise if it is but what is the simple way to get rid of Sarah Lowther always popping up on my screen as i really have no interest at all in what she has to say! Do I have to pay to become a premium member to get rid of her? It's blooming annoying seeing her face all the time. Thanks in advance.....
From Motley Fool today (30 May 2023):
Junior miner Savannah Resources (LSE:SAV) describes its Barroso project in Portugal as “Europe’s most significant resource of hard rock spodumene lithium”. That’s no small claim and it suggests huge profits potential here as electric vehicle (EV) sales rocket.
Investing in early-stage mining companies carries extra risk. Businesses like this £65m market-cap have less financial clout than a FTSE 100 or FTSE 250 operator, for instance. This means they may have to take on debt, or sell, new shares to carry on operating.
However, the rewards can also be explosive. Assuming Savannah gets approval to start producing at Barroso, the cash could flood in as EV production heats up.
The site contains enough lithium to support annual production of 22,000-25,500 tonnes. That’s equivalent to half a million car battery packs every year. There is huge expansion potential in the area too that could supercharge earnings at the company.
Projected EV demand growth in Europe through to 2035.
Source: Goldman Sachs
Analysts at Goldman Sachs believe EVs will account for half of all global auto sales by 2035. And as the graph above shows, demand growth in Europe is expected to be especially strong. If things go to plan Savannah could deliver outstanding investor returns over the next decade.

My opinion is this - if it is a yes then the share price reaction may well by more muted than what we would have hoped for. I have in excess of 7million TM1 shares and they have now received final EA approval to commence battery recycling operations on an industrial scale at their 2 factories (safe fire systems are currently being installed but they should be up and running within next month or so). Everyone thought that their sp would jump considerably upon final approval but it didn't. The rise was around 5% if that. Still nice however far below what some punters were shouting. The point I am making is that don't expect too much if approval is given by the Portuguese. I hope we are pleasantly suprised but be sensible. If it is a No then it's only going southwards. If it is a Yes then it'll move at its own pace. I only own 25k shares (£1000 worth) of SAV however Lithium extraction is gong to become crucial regarding electric batteries in the future and Europe needs to start becoming self-sufficient. Fingers crossed anyway for positive news in next few hours / days.
Does anyone have any views on a future share consolidation? Last year, one of my other investments (Horizonte Minerals) did a 20:1. With 1.5 billion shares currently in existence and lots more to come in the near term I think a consolidation could be possible.
You speak of working days. Is that Mon - Fri because if so it's less than 10 WDs til end of May.
Absolutely Agree with you Andy. Mining side is not as "immediate" as the recycling but who knows what sort of revenue it could bring in?
Interesting post. I was invested here until a few months ago and then sold out however bought back in yesterday again with a modest £1k worth of shares. This month should be pivotal one way or another. Europe's lithium needs versus the environmentalists. If the politicians are really serious about EVs then SAV should receive approval however who actually knows? An interesting few weeks ahead of us for sure.
Andy, my purchase at 1453 is showing as a sell.
Main point these people are making has been covered by management in that gate fees will not be paid indefinitely and will cease in the future. However it's still PR and it's getting the company's name out there.

So, that's me in again today. Sold the last 5000 of my HZM shares ( we now have none left in family portfolio) and I purchased just over 300k TM1. We now hold 7.3million across all accounts. This dip in price has offered a chance to purchase cheaper than earlier this week. I am now 100% solely invested in TM1 however the wife and kids have other stocks which provides a steady income via regular dividends. If the company was to suddenly fold tomorrow and I lost everything then I can still clothe and feed the family and provide a roof over our heads. I have a job until I am 68 in one of the most "secure" industries you can think of with a good pension . But I am a tight Aberdonian (we make Yorkshire folk look like big spenders!) and I want my wife to be able to retire in 2 - 3 years and give my kids every opportunity in life including seeing daughter through Uni. TM1 will hopefully give me that opportunity. Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say.
Old wasp, this share is not on AIM, it is main market. DYOR.
Just viewed it, interesting stuff. Leeawill27, was it you who got a mention??
No word of any yet, mate.
I'm too late to register for the webinar so if someone could possibly repost the TM1 part here then that would be most appreciated. I'm sure there will be many comments post-webinar and I look forward to reading what everyone has to say.
The RNS states that they are hosting the event, yet elsewhere it states they are either just speaking or (in Robin's case) presenting. What's going on? Hosting is different to presenting which is definitely different to speaking.
I see that Robin has now been added to the webinar for tomorrow evening. Any comments on why he could be a late addition??
DaMole, thanks mate. I think you're right. So why put the comment on the Brundle interview post? Probably an inexperienced investor. There are a few on here.
Why?
Moopoo, thank you for the kind words and I never thought you were trying to silence me. Things are often difficult at home but we try our best to keep our son calm and reassured. Money may not buy you happiness however it can provide an awful lot and act as a safety-cushion when times get hard. Here's to a profitable future for all of us.
