So if they were an investor then I could get that if they had been invested for some time and they felt that the company was doing things wrong or not enough.

An example would be the so called SUP bonfire.
Probably for their best reasons they see this as not positive.

I am not sure it does. It is mainly aimed at Liberty Steel which has bigger operating costs if they produce and melt steel.
However I am just assuming based on what I know.

Not sure if Teeside, Newport and Motherwell are still operating.

I have reservations about how any company may run anything that I have an investment in. That is pretty normal.
If I get to the stage where I think it is not for me short to long term then I vote with my feet and cash out.
