Piltick - As I understand it the idea of paying for the waste plastic would not apply to developed countries. If I am right in some South East Asia countries notably the poorer ones they would be paid for the waste plastic.
The Japanese do appear to like the technology12 Jul 2019 19:18
While looking on the MITI website I came across this document https://jmp.sh/NXeKaxT. Page 10 is of interest. They seem to want a cheap source of hydrogen I wonder where they can find that. Note the date of the document.
Philosophical - You have not missed it. My understanding which may be wong is that it has been moved to next month. But then again for similar reasons I thought it was this month so we should wait. If I am right about the date then notice will be given in about two weeks.
chriszzr -,probably not as It would only recently have gone in and would be in the name of waste2tricity(protos) limited. Do you have a,link to the application ypu mentioned?
RE: The waiting list for DMG's is growing10 Jul 2019 09:29
Piltick - in line with PHE's policy to date I would not expect one. there was no RNS from Powerhouse when waste2tricity announced that the large jpanese multinational was coming over for a visit. Having read the press notice there is nothing in it that says that the Japanese would provide financial as opposed to political support.
badshah13 - In addition to the point made by Piltick it has to be remembered that W2T is the devlopment partner for PHE and would be responsible for developing pojects in some key markets so there financial stability is important to PHE's sucessfor now.
Jabberba - Even if it is this week I doubt that we will hear anything about any investment immediately after it. It may be some time before we hear anything.
I was just looking at AFC and was wondering in two or three years time if the market capitalisation for AFC is around where it is now would it make strategic sense for PHE to takeover AFC. As I see it the motivation would be to offer a complete solution in that they would be provided with both the fuel cell and the hydrogen from the same company.
AnneOwl - I think you will agree with me that the important question is whether the emissions are lower or higher than for other methods. Also as I said in an email to CHAIN you have to look at the question of whether the environmental gain is greater than any harm caused. In this case that means looking at the electricity generation and hydrogen production as a whole and not just one. On that basis any emissions from the electricity production would be offset by the reductions in the CO2 from the 11,000 litres of petrol displaced by the hydrogen. Also there is the possibility that this method of generating electricity would have lower CO2 emissions than fossil fuel based generation.
I would also point out that there is academic literature that supports the proposition that this technology might in fact be carbon negative so aids the reduction in CO2 emissions.
I was reading the annual report again in case I do not get the opportunity again before the AGM so as I can work out if there is anything to ask. I came across this line in the post close events on page 4 'Initiated first paid field trials for customer' apart from the use of the plural to ndate more than one field trial it seems that som revenues may be arriving. We will see in September when the six months results are published.
Rooky - You are probably right about that. My understanding was that the AGM was going to be at the end of this month which means the notice must be due about now. Do you know how much notice has to be given?
BumbleB - I think it is the Annual Report and Accounts that have to be within six months of the years end. The AGM always follows the Annual Report and Accounts as thye are presented at the AGM.
Last years AGM was on the 27 July 2018 with Notice having been given on 4 July 2018. Unless I have missed it we have not had notice of the AGM for this year. As you are supposed to have an AGM within 12 months of the last one. The 27 July this year is on a Saturday so if PHE are going to keep to the same day then we need Notice about now.
We are still waiting for the Notice of AGM apart from this I am not expecting any news before end of September when the six month results are due. As this is the holiday season the sahre price will most peobably drift down if there is no news. In relation to the six month results I anticipate we might see initial revenues arising from the FEED contract for the DMG site.
