Newboy58 - You are right HMG might decide to help which would be a disaster.

What I find interesting about the commercial viability of the process. I am not sure if anyone can do the conversion from MWe to MWh but I think we may have a significant increase in power. Also I note that the contracts are said to be let in January that would seem to indicate a decision at the January meeting which is inline with my thinking. On the whole with this RNS I cannot see anything stopping the rollout of the DMG technology.

I see we have had a slight tick down. Hopefully this will be corrected in short order.

I note that the share price is now at a three month high.

Superbarnet In relation to your 11.56 post what is your source that the planning permission will be at the February meeting and not at the January meeting.

LongTerm74 - Thanks for the compliment if you are right then the rise in the share price should hold. If not then as has happened before the share price will drift down. I do agree the falls especially last week were not warranted by the fundamentals.

What concerns me is that in the absence of any news to explain the rise we will see a drop in the price by the end of the week. With no nes I cannot see gains going beyond tomorrow.

Surprised to see no RNS first thing this morning. As it is only 7.08 there is still time.

I suspect that there is going to be pressure put on PHE to explain if they n=know of any reason for a 30% rise in th share price in one day.

After today's rise I think we may have an RNS after close of trading today or at 7am tomorrow. The share price is up 25% in a day and a numbe rof the trades are in the millions.

LongTerm74 - In relation to your 14.06 post I would not disagree with you I think the question is how bland a statement they will be able to get away with if there is something positive but they do not want to say anything because discussions are still going on.

Philosophical - In relation to your 12.48 post I believe that there is a rule that if the shares go up by either 20 or 25% I cannot recall which the compnay can be asked to issue a statement as to whether they are aware of anything that explains it.

If the pricegoes up much more then PHE will be forced to issue a press release which will say one of two things either that it does not know of any reason for the increase in the share price in which case the price will drop. The other possibility is that it will be forced to disclose someing earlier than was perhaps intended. The problem with any deal is that there are to many people involved including solicitors, accountants and bankers to avoid a leak as somebody will want to illegally take advantage of the information.

BumbleB - In relation to your 19.26 post of yesterday I think the problem is that we are asking two different questions. You appear to be asking has W2T/Peel provided all the information that Natural England says should be provided to do a Habitats Regulations Assessment. While I ask have they supplied all the information that the Local Planning Authority needs to make a lawful decision on the application. The two questions do not necessarily get the same answer as the planning authority might need less information than Natural England as it might already have some of that information.

Sharesport - In relation to your 18.04 you are right I am not expecting any further comment from Natural England. If you look at the response on the third page of consultee comments there is nothing in that response that they would be making any further response unless there is a significant change in the application.

Sharesport - After the planning application was amended to show a connection to the electicity substation the application was reconsulted on with the application going out on the 6 November to statutory consultees. A fresh site notice also went up. The time to make comments expired on 29 November.

Now that the consultation period has been completed I expect that the planning officer will be doing her report and recommendations. If it is like my local authority the report will need to be checked by legal who may add any comments they have. From an administrative law view I feel that there is enough information available to grant the planning application despite the advice from Natural England. The Wildlife and Countryside Act requires the LPA to have regard to the advice from Natural England. The term used, must have regard, means that the advice should be followed unless there is good reason not to. In my humble opinion in this case there are good reasons to depart from it. You have the view of the Environmental Protection Team that the Air Quality Report is robust. This finding from the Environmental Protection team would justify making an appropriate assessment that there would be no significant adveerse effect on the nearby SSSI and RAMSAR site. This view would seem to be supported by the four or five Environmental Impact Assessments that have been done on various plots on the PROTOS site in the last ten years. Furthermore there is the effect of the site wide environmental mtigations that have been put in place.

SprogBarnes - I think part of the problem may be a lack of confidence. So far PHE has failed to deliver on promises. Had previous promises been kept then we would have a commercial unit in operation. Part of the blame for this has to go to W2T as the development partner. None of the negotiations or agreements they have reached have so far led to progress being made. PROTOS is the furhest forward things have reached so far. I must, however, question if it was the right site for the first plant given the environmental issues there.

SprogBarnes - In relation to your 17.21 post. Exceptionally I am going to agree in part with Yellowf1 in his 17.35 post. There has not been a commercial scale version of the system. When there is a working commercial scale version of the system then I would expect the valuation to change. Before that if the accounts for the year ending 31 December this year shows significant revenues this might sustain the share price.
