Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
The half time score is 38 - 3 to England who only managed 6 tries. It could have been worse with two tries being disallowed. One by Dow was disallowed because it was not grounded. The other was disallowed due to a knock on.
This snapshot from Navy Lookout https://www.navylookout.com/snapshot-the-royal-navy-escort-fleet-in-april-2024/ details the state of every ship in the Navy.
Lottie123 ref 07.39 post What I wold be looking to see apart from which decade these new ships will be ordered in is whether they will be ordered from BAB or BAe. As we have seen from the reports in the mediathis week BAe will not prioritise work for the MoD over other clients. We had them saying that one of the much needed Type 26s that they are contractually bound to deliver should be used to fulfil an order for the Norwegian Navy. Also they have said that if they do not have enough forward work they may need to stagger existing work to make sure they do not run out of work. This shows where there loyalties lie. I would like to see HARL being given a fair shake to win the contracts.
LSE03 thanks for this unfortunately it raises almost as many questions as it answers. Chief amongst them is how is this being funded. It says that the HARL (Marine Services) has grown to five freight vessels but when I checked on vesselfinder only the Valonia and the Terramere, which is now approaching Appledore, are showing as HARL vessels. I presume at some stage we will get an update.
NigelHaemoglobin ref 13.02 post This post might actually be useful when doing bids. She can give advice on the Social value part of the bid. Depending on the tender this can count for upto 20% of the tender.
I think this counts as a senior appointment. This time coming to HARL from Airbus. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7186984219745689600/ In commenting on her post she said.
🎉 A New Chapter Begins! ✈️ 🛰️ à 🛳️ 🚢
After a remarkable 15 years at Airbus, where I had the privilege of working with incredible people and amazing products, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve embarked on a new adventure!
This week I joined Harland & Wolff as Group Head of Social Value and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – from Space to the Sea! This role supports H&W’s ongoing commitment to making a difference in our communities, fostering an inclusive culture, and driving social value in every aspect of our work. A massive thank you to my new colleagues for the warm welcome, great introduction to the maritime industry and some inspiring views in both London and Belfast.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Airbus for the memories and experiences. Here’s to new beginnings! 🌟

Consuela ref 22.34 post It seems that unlike me you are unable to separate your opinion on JW with the ability of HARL to perform on their contracts. As far as I am aware other than the Saipem Contract HARL has never failed to complete a contract and HARL has had some rather, in my view, complex contracts. I have in mind the Jack Up Platform. You need to bear in mind that JW is not the one doing the actual work. Lookng at the quality of the senior managers and the contacts they bring to thier jobs I am reasonably confident that HARL wouold be able to complete their contracts.
One thing I noted in the Minister's reply he said 'In this instance, UKEF support has already secured over €200 million of UK content into this project' Assuming that the guarantee and the loan does not relate to any previous work then that would indicate that a major contract is being negotiated. The reason for this assumption is that you would not require a loan to do work related to a past contract. Also it would explain the aproval of a 100% guarantee. I would also observe that in relation to the other contracts including the SeaRose the client could have obtained funding direct from UKEF to pay HARL.
AimMaster2018 ref 13.19 post you have to recall that the original hearing was by a single Judge of the High Court. The appeal was heard by three Judges of the Court of Appeal. You need two of the three to agree for a decision. Also any deision would be a binding precedent so they would be looking at not only the case before them but future cases where a similar point arises. That being the case taking more time is not unreasonable.
Bubble2021 ref 11.13 post not sure which of my posts on this topic you were referring to but as there are only three prime contractors in Northern Ireland the call for a strategic partnerships would include of necessity HARL.
Si_Derman ref 11.03 post may I most respectfully partially disagree with you in that Professor Taylor did make one brief mention of Navantia. I agree with you about the comment made by Professor Taylor that if HARL fails on FSS that would be the end for defence shipbuilding in Northern Ireland.
