Surprised GDR didn't RNS this. It confirms that Scotland are definitely rolling out the RNR1 test. It sounds like it will eventually be worth £255,000 in revenue to GDR. Not that much but definitely very good they can say that a small European country has finally adopted the test.

The trusts can't get central funding for any POC tests at the moment. So Peterborough has evidently funded this themselves (for acute stroke only). Will cost them roughly £80,000 per year. So could well be a one-off for the time being. In terms of England and Wales the stroke test is in very much same position as RNR1 in terms of funding at the moment. A placing is on the way soonish, and GDR just hasn't been able to release any "big news" as yet....the clock is ticking.

On the bright side, would guess there'll be a fund raise within the next few months within the 0.2-0.5p range....

JLC, It just FDA standard approach.

This specifically would not affect GDR directly as it's about drug approvals. My understanding is that GDR has been told to generate data for its device on US soil and then present findings to FDA. It's certainly possible that FDA decision will be delayed though if some people that are involved in decision making at the end of the funnel have been fired!

What rubbish, they are only just getting lab testing started on a wide scale in Scotland for this after a successful pilot in Tayside using a Thermofisher lab test.

And so what relevance does £8.5m have when England and Wales trusts can currently only adopt if they finance it independently. More misleading stuff that you churn out on here daily and then poor xxxxxly, challenged people like Emerald lose even more money!

Jimi is mixing things that are correct with things that are factually incorrect or exaggerated as per usual.

GDR are very confident about getting something from Scotland soon, which they expect to help them to raise more money from investors. But Scotland won't add very much to revenue in my view. Maybe about £500k per year for RNR1 and hardly anything or nothing from the stroke test as lab testing is the primary means for that.

Funding is obviously a big issue for POC stroke test in England and Wales:

They posted an annual report on the website last month. It said they'd raised more money last summer, which I think means they're funded until September. (But the UK-based chair has gone)
