Of course it's not guaranteed NICE will actually decide to fully roll out to England and Wales in the end. That's what GDR is hoping though.

The NHS is more than just Manchester. The evidence is that it's still the only region in England and Wales where it's been fully rolled out, even after all this time. If NICE were fully convinced they would have already done it earlier, although there is still a chance they eventually will. NICE said with the stroke product decision that they "preferred" lab testing. The NHS also decided to go with lab testing for hepatitis (this was originally GDR's big POC product before these other two products came along and it had to ditch it because it just couldn't get any sales.)

To me Baznick problem has long been that NHS/and other bodies around the world actually don't like POC testing. They really do prefer lab testing for various reasons. It's a good sign that Scotland is rolling out. Not good sign that no other bodies have made concrete steps. Don't think pilot studies necessarily signal commitment. NICE often just says NO in the end...

It seems quite a silly tax, especially as it's not going to raise that much money. Bad timing for Burfod though as it was already facing a bit of scepticism over long wait for Argentine payout.

I think the current cash will run out at about the end of August. So, they bound to say something quite soon. They longer they keep silent the worse it will be for the share price. Another possibility is that they will just somehow ask permission from shareholders through vote to lower nominal share price (so than they can keep doing small fundraisers with Peel Hunt acting as a market maker). I assume they must be able to do that with 75% voter approval.

I think the choice is between going private and trying to get an anchor private investor on board after that or doing another fundraise on AIM. But they'll need 75% shareholder vote approval to do either of those things. (And to do decent fundraise on AIM, which they badly need, they would also need an anchor investor- not just temporary market maker buying as in previous 2 fundraisers.) So perhaps the most likely thing is they'll go private. If successful they later route, could eventually give them a pathway to relisting on Nasdaq, though that would be a few years away at least I think.

So why isn't the share price rising then?

Meanwhile, distributors being appointed in Europe are a red herring because you need access approved from bodies similar to NICE in each European country before you can actually have sales.

Most of that will be on wages - they have nearly 50 employees (obviously director salaries as well)

I wouldn't EXPECT anything from NICE at all for either product in terms of full adoption. If you get good news you can celebrate then, but NICE decisions over the last couple of years have been quite mixed, with some big disappointments even for BIG pharma with good products, so certainly scope for unpleasant surprises. NICE often sometimes just says no, so would be wary when something is taking a long time to get the full green light. UK is definitely not El Dorado for healthcare. I reckon GDR should have started trying to get both products into the US from the start, not the UK as the baseline.

Yep, I think they have cash to last for about another 2 months. So bound to be a key update soon: what's their plan?? Their best bet might be to announce they have decided to do Bitcoin treasury.

I think this is the opposite to "golden slience". Possibly we're even near the end of the line for GDR.

Cheek previously seemed to be claiming that RNR1 was going to get commissioned by NHS England before the NICE process was wrapped up.

Just imagine the revenue they'd have now if they'd invested the £40+ million raised so far on buying a portfolio of pubs lol

Mr Cheek said much the same about RNR1, i.e that NHS England would do special commissioning. But he ended up being CEO for less than a year...and to do special commissioning they have to hold a public consultation (although relatively brief). So until they actually announce an intention to do special commissioning for either product, I'll assume it's not happening.

I read in a document someone posted on here an NHS trust clearly saying they couldn't get funding from NHS budget to offer GDR's stroke-related test.

Once you're private you don't even have to inform all the shareholders of the exact details/terms of any funding you raise.
