Yep, but they wouldn't need to find the anchor investor straightaway. It would give them more time. The problem in the last few years is they haven't been able to get proper institutional investor backing. (Peel Hunt did not buy in as investor in last two "placings", only as market maker)

I think they will try to take it private. The share price is below the nominal value so they can't do the liquidity type placing they've been doing for the past few years (i.e Peel Hunt acting as "market maker" to enable GDR to raise money). They would need to 75% shareholder vote and then find an institution prepared to do traditional placing and put up £5m. As I think it's unlikely they're going to get anyone to do that (but possible) I reckon they will take it private and then try to find venture funding (and maybe then a later stage float it on Nasdaq if finally get close to FDA approval etc and breakeven/profit)

These certifications are virtually meaningless in commercial terms Emerald. You can't sell in big quantities until you get main payer thumbs up - i.e for UK this would be full NICE approval, so any UK hospital would be able to order and effectively use the funding from the main NHS budget to buy.

They only need £12m to keep going for the next 2 years when market cap is just over £7m and sp is well below nominal share price already. Optimism certainly needed....

Yes, it is a good point by Stephen11. Probably this is actually what GDR's survival will come down to. They would need 75% support from shareholders to either delist or change capital structure of firm (the latter to enable the usual shameful share dilution via equity fundraising). Many shareholders are so underwater that they just wouldn't bother voting. BTW, I think the private shareholder weighing in this company is actually far higher than 90%. There are no institutional shareholders on GDR's register with SIGNIFICANT positions at all.

I think will still probably be ok/good in the end. They have more news flow that must be upcoming quite soon. They've been hanging on to the details of full flagship product trial results. To me this indicates they could well be in negotiations with someone. Perhaps a Nasdaq listing is coming later this year or even a full buyout by someone like Jazz. Various executives/directors bought the shares just before it delisted, which is a good sign. The fact they're not trading on Jp Jenkins anymore might actually be another good sign, as they're pushing through one of the strategies I just mentioned!

GDR won't be trading on the stock market after September then. They must either be in talks to sell the business or take it private. I won't post again on this board. Goodbye.
