Saying nothing and allowing this share price to collapse clearly is an option as that is what the BOD is doing.

Start of a new week. So far this morning one buy and four sells, the latest at just 7.25p. Clearly the Stockbuyer viewpoint is getting to other investors who are losing faith with Circle Oil. If untrue then the BOD needs to say so. If true then they need to explain why and stop this lack of confidence in the market. Saying nothing is not an option.

That may explain why the discovery at LAM-1 had little effect on the market. Your view of Circle Oil is bleak. You do seem to have some personal grievance with them which may be justified. However looking purely objectively at the company circumstances now compared to a year ago there seems to be an improvement which does not show in the share price.

Those other companies now have a much higher share price. Last year, when all of the problems you have noted were in place, the share price was much higher - up to 27p. Previously in 2009, 2010 and 2011 the price was in the mid 30's. Now that the company has shown a new direction at the last AGM to remove those problems with a new CEO and CFO the share price falls to an all time low of 7.5p. And there are now successes with LAM-1 and a reasonable gas income. Doesn't make a lot of sense.

Thanks for that elland. The problem now is that without that kind of information being promulgated to the market the share price has collapsed. At the end of last week it was half of the share price it was at the end of May, just over two months ago only. Waiting for the 'interim' results to be published in September without informing the market has lead to that extreme fall in the share price. That has now meant that even a recovery of a doubling of the share price will only restore it to a figure which would have been considered as low in recent times. Susan Prior 'expecting a couple of firms to initiate coverage over the coming months' is clearly leaving things far too late. The share price has collapsed now. Waiting any longer has already left it too late with a current share price around 7.5p. If the market had been kept informed earlier a share price around 10p to 12p may have been maintained resulting in an easier recovery over following months. As it is now reaching 10p from now will require a major increase of over 30%.

Generally job losses are good for a share price. Bad for the individual but good for the share price where they are needed. Court cases are not good for a share price.

This is also evident in the only trade so far this morning is a sell of nearly 200,000 shares at just 7.35p a few minutes ago. Cray price to sell at. They must have been desperate for the money.

Thanks for that. I wish the BOD would come out with such statements for the market. As has been pointed out we can't expect the market to react to individuals posting on a forum like this but if the company Directors were to make some official comment then their share price would hold up while the actual results are coming through further on in time. In the meantime the share price has collapsed such that even a doubling now would not return the share price to a reasonable level. It was nearly twice the current price back at the end of May, just over two months ago.

The main income for Circle Oil is from gas. Since the collapse of the oil and gas price late last year the price of Natural Gas has remained stable since January at around 2.8. It is currently 2.814. And yet the share price has sunk down to an all time low. The Directors need to put out statements emphasising the positives about this company. The company finances should show this given time but in the meantime investors have lost interest and bouncing back from a very low share price is not easy when they have allowed the share price to fall this low. Even if it were to double it would still be low compared to where it was last year.

Ramerci and eland have emphasised the better news. That is what the company directors are supposed to do. It doesn't have to be in an RNS. It shouldn't be overdone of course but there has been absolutely nothing from the company directors. There has only been the official news required by regulation.

Glad to be of service. You infer there is no good news? After the recent bad news with the duster? There has been some: LAM-1, a new CEO, a new CFO, the company direction stated at the AGM. Yes there has been better news. However it is not promulgated and it's only the bad news that is getting out there at present.

The lack of any further fall shows the market has recognised that this share price has reached a floor. That in itself should encourage investment as the only way from now should be up.

So far 4 small buys and no sells. Share price gradually increasing. At 7p this is a silly price. As has been said this company has good assets and a good gas income. There's no reason why it should remain this low for long. The company should be releasing positive news to the press on a regular basis. Ramerci and elland have been doing that on this forum. There's no reason why the company can not do that such that the google finance page for COP has some relevant news on it, rather than the irrelevant rubbish that is on there now. They need to market this company to potential investors.

The same market jitters last Summer at this time. Then COP fell to a low of 17.25p. Since then the oil price has halved. COP is down much more than half of the August 2014 price. This is panic stuff.

That's all very well but COP is already at an all time low. One might be forgiven thinking the China Syndrome would mainly effect stocks at their highs. Not a lot of point in selling COP at this price. This has to be a buy price. If only I had some cash ...

That explains why there are no recent buys. Doesn't explain the lack of Director buys since September 2014 though. Many others are selling, even at this low price, so they are going to have to do something to get this company moving.

Good move. Currently we are back in the same position as before - no investor confidence and no apparent Director confidence either, even at this incredibly low share price. The multiple small sells over the last couple of days indicates investors pulling out of their small share holdings. At the current price that means they are just giving up on this company. The price has never been this low before. No one is making any money selling at this price.

Despite the earlier posts forecasting 7p it has been a quiet day with a stable share price. Who ever bought in large amounts yesterday must be pretty annoyed. At least they got a very good price and may well make a lot of money in the near future. But they may have expected such large buys to have some effect on the share price. I don't subscribe to the Delano theory. Generally hedge funds that short a stock do so by selling lots of small amounts, forcing the price down over a period of time. This happened with Sainsbury last year. Very large buys should expect a sharp rise in the share price. Not having that result can only be due to this share price being well down in the doldrums. The MM's and others must be holding on to a lot of shares to prevent a sharp rise with such large buys.

Or it could be a self fulfilling prophecy. Frighten all the share holders into selling and down comes the share price ...
