5.7 million shares bought at 8.50p. And at 8.50p that is a buy.

It was not meant as a criticism of you. It was expressing my frustration at the ongoing situation with the buy / sell designation and COP in general. I have been watching this since December when the price had fallen and it looked like a good buy. It's good to see new involvement in the share as that should indicate more investors. I have often thought that COP has been off the radar. The way the Board of Directors appears to be dealing with this now looks good for the near future. However investors need to be convinced and the lack of Director buying is a concern. If they are not buying at this price why should anyone else have the confidence to buy? Otherwise the company looks good from now on and the market may wake up to that shortly.

It's a fact. The price has never been lower. By definition that makes it rock bottom.

Your question is deja vu all over again. We were all wondering what was going on and still are. Elland and Ramerci have both asked searching question of the CFO and CEO directly. Both have received confident answers about where Circle is going. But the market has a different view and the BOD is doing little to change that view. Lots of promises but nothing yet fulfilled. Director buys? What Director buys? LAM-1 a success but no positive market reaction. And the market not willing to show confidence on current drills in Morocco and agreements in Tunisia and Egypt. This share price is at rock bottom but will it pick up? Who knows? If the Circle BOD know they are not letting on.

I have a sense of deja vu all over again. We were discussing the incorrect designation of buys and sells weeks and months ago. We were also discussing the likelihood of a takeover by Tullow Oil or other company weeks ago as well with the lack of Director buys and other factors. That seems to have been discounted with the Mitch Flegg buy on 29 June as Director buys may not be allowed with ongoing takeover negotiations. There have been clear incorrect designations recently and in the past. The two 'buys' of 1500000 shares were clearly sells at the price. I feel, like elland, that the MM's are dropping the price to move these shares. If there is no takeover negotiations then why don't the Directors buy at this price? If there are negotiations then why the Mitch Flegg buy on 29 June?

There is an even better answer the BOD could give - to buy substantial amounts of shares at the current low price. That would instil some confidence in the share price and was what they said they would do at the AGM. Not do so preserves the current lack of confidence and makes investors wonder what other items stated at the AGM are also not correct.

At the end of every week we think that the next week must be better. And every week it's worse. It can get even worse next week but one would hope it has reached rock bottom. Since October 2004 it has never been this low. And that following the improved news from the AGM, a new CFO, new CEO and the success of LAM-1. One suspects foul play.

I really don't understand the mentality of sellers at this price, unless they are investing with money they can't afford to invest with and need it back in a hurry. In the entire history of this share it has never been this low. No one selling at this price is making a profit. And yet the future prospects are so good, according to the AGM. Clearly there are those who don't believe it.

Share price is struggling back up to 9p. Still a very low price. Wish I had your optimism elland. We've seen a successful LAM-1, a new CFO, a new CEO and a good AGM but the share price has only seen bad news so far. At this price I would have expected large buys. I would have also expected Director buys as well, strangely absent despite what was said at the AGM. We have had too many tomorrows.

I would be interested to know what is happening with the promised director buys as well. There's been nothing since the small amount bought by Mitch Flegg on 29 June, despite what was said at the AGM. They couldn't get a better price.

Seems to be a race to the bottom. Who can sell at the lowest price. Mental.

Stopping the drill now appears to me to be entirely in line with their statement at the AGM. In that any poor result would be halted and investigated. This prevents unnecessary expenditure and avoids the problems previously experienced with Circle Oil. Difficult to find too much good news here I know but stopping now and investigating is good management. And the RNS goes on to mention the NFA-1 program and the fact that LAM-1 was in fact successful. Something that seems to have been overlooked by the pessimists.

Looking at the trades there are a lot more buys than sells. This is a very low price and confidence does seem to be there for such a lot of buys. Maybe investors are starting to believe this board of directors?

Having read through the RNS it is not a complete failure. Just not as much gas as they had hoped.

So far so good this morning. Currently 302436 shares bought against 7250 sold. This should really progress higher with the good news from the AGM. The better news expected from a Greece deal (?) and two days of improvement in the Chinese market shouldn't harm either. And Brent oil has bobbed up to $59 from $56 with WTI up to $53 from $51 and Natural Gas up a bit as well.

FTSE set to open higher this morning. It will be interesting to see how COP fairs. I still find it frustrating that it seems to lose ground on unrelated bad news from Greece and China but doesn't respond to related good news from the Circle AGM.

Frustrating when the AGM was favourable with the new CEO and CFO appearing to get a grip of the company and bad drills in Oman being removed with good drills in Morocco, etc. being extended to see the share price fall because of unrelated Greek and China problems. It is possible for individual share prices to rise in this environment with related good news, just look at Barclays.

They're down as a sell and a n/a - but this is frequently incorrect. Certainly a good buy in price. Those pesky Greeks!

And the latest news item on google finance for COP? "Tonga crowns King Tupou VI". Let's hope he's rich and there's a connection with him buying into Circle Oil! I doubt if he would have even heard of Circle Oil. It's about time Circle put out some stuff so that google finance will have something relevant on their news items for COP.

Excellent report from Ramerci. If only the company could be that swift in informing prospective investors. 6 months to improve an already good and existing website? Why so long? When I said that last week should be fun I was, of course, wrong. Yesterday there was one confident investor buying against 8, not confident, selling. And one of the sells matched the buy. With 6 months to make a website more investor friendly I can not see much happening next week. Let's hope I'm wrong, again.
