Although today's rise was quite a shock in itself the collapse from Monday's RNS had the feel of the company going under at the time. Many selling at 0.4p or less were probably thinking they were getting out before their shares became worthless. An appalling and spiteful RNS quite frankly, threatening shareholders having had the ability to have a placing removed. Today's second RNS was so much better and quite rightly improved sentiment by several orders of magnitude.

That sell was probably a delayed one from earlier in the day. Even 6.5 million should have got a better price than 0.75p per share at 16:23. Should get an even better price tomorrow.

They only got 0.75p for their sale of 6.5 million shares.

This is no spike. It's a recovery to a more sensible MCap for the value of the gas field. With the permits on the way.

Sounds a lot but it is just 0.8p. That's just an MCap of under 18 million. For a gas field worth 200 million and the permits on the way. Glad I kept half my 'investment'.

Lunch time is normally quiet on the market and a bit of selling creeps in. In fact the SP has dipped a little. Expect this to surge up this afternoon with the RNS news getting around.

This looks more like the end of January 2017. Could well see 1p by tomorrow. And that would still be far less than it should be with an MCap of around 22 million only and things getting resolved. So not really a spike.

And that RNS seems to have done the trick. Hopefully a conference call on Monday with a lot of useful information now.

Earthling, A well written RNS explaining the agreed position from the meeting on Wednesday would raise morale considerably and could avoid a lot of embittered callers with recriminations only about what has happened. We could then concentrate on the future and where this company is going.

I've emailed Colin to ask if there will be an RNS regarding the meeting. I've had a non committal reply which indicates it could happen, although not strictly necessary. Not that he said that it wouldn't be necessary. That's just my take on it not being strictly necessary. He could discuss things after hours on Monday and RNS them before market opening on Tuesday. However he has a lot of angry shareholders and the situation would be considerably defused with an RNS beforehand. That would be conducive to a much better conference call.

I'm well, considering, thanks FX. Fortunately don't have all my eggs in one basket. Unfortunately the other eggs aren't doing too well currently either.

Imagine how annoyed I was with the SP falling from September 2017 with just the good news of the appellant being removed and the INA contract starting. Imagine how annoyed I was with the Twitter trolls and 'Action Group' decimating the SP on social media. Monday was almost the last straw.

FX I still hold 12 million plus in my and my wife's ISA. The fund and share account has been sold up now. So pretty much half sold. Like you I couldn't trust what was going on. Average was at 0.82p as I had bought a load at 0.6p in the June 2016 placing. I thought I could hold and not go below that. Monday's RNS was a major shock.

Earthling, again rather pointless? Doesn't get us anywhere regarding where the company is going does it? Just spiteful questions attacking Colin. Is he going to respond well? I don't think so.

We need questions about what is happening now and for the future. Questions about what he thinks he has done over the last 7 days are pointless. Questions about why he hadn't allowed questions at previous conferences are pointless. They all muddy the waters. We need clear and concise questions about how the current situation is going to play out and why it will happen. We need questions about how the diplomatic situation has been improved from the meeting on Wednesday and what positive steps are coming form it. We need to know where Ascent Resources is going.

So as the conference is at 18:30 BST he could reveal stuff and then RNS it on Tuesday at 07:00 BST, before the market opens. Would be nice to have an RNS about the meeting yesterday today or tomorrow though and would calm the situation down somewhat.
