Breaking insider trading rules lejjb or just company confidentiality rules? Releasing early to the market would reduce the possibility of insider trading.

Insider trading rules are there to prevent insiders acting on news before it's released to the market. This would be releasing news to the market early and would therefore prevent the risk of insider trading. More likely someone would have just broken company confidentiality rules. Would like to know lejjb's take on it.

If it's meant to be released tomorrow it would have tomorrow's date on it.

In the meantime the SP is down purely on the main client issue news. It should reverse though once people see how cheap this is with the LCCM news.

Don't think the main client issue is major. Worst case scenario is they default, SML get contractural damages and sell the magnetite elsewhere.

LCCM starting up for real is great news. The SP should reflect this.

kenj, You mention one of the few points I have concerns over with the BoD. They have bought little with their own money. They have options but that doesn't risk their own money. We see large amounts bought by Directors in companies like SML, 88E, PFC and many others. I've queried Colin and he replied: "I have invested around £23k in the past – the £8k was on the two PB placings. There was £10k in the 2016 fund raising and a further £5k in the market in November 2017". Still not a mega amount even if all of that is true.

The one I would be really keen to see buy with his own money would be John Buggenhagen as he is the oil and gas expert, new to the company and that would show confidence in what he sees with the company.

The rest of my points stand as the company is now starting to come good. Just like to see John invest to show he thinks so too as he is the expert.

Cheers obone. We know there are those who wish this company harm. Colin has been unable to say much as these people will take advantage to damage the company. They will keep selling on the way down to damage the company, along with posting here, on twitter and elsewhere to do so. It's a cost to these activists but they see the damage it can cause. Hopefully they run out of ammunition when the herd returns to AST. We've seen what can happen then and Monday's late rise was an example.

Those who see where AST is actually going will be buying at the lows and sooner or later the SP will rise back up. Colin and John need to keep the good news coming.

Otherwise why would anyone sell this company down with a £200 million known gas reservoir under Petisovci?

Yet some other entity is working this back down regardless.

Hence my tick tock post earlier. An excellent company on the verge of several good news items and the SP is reducing slowly. Needs some PR.

Report is correct reso. Read the numbers. The monthly figure is up. Of course as a deramper you'd be looking at the daily figure. I say production stabilised. You'd say it's down. As New2 says who cares? We're moving on.

Ascent Resources sees improved production at Petisovci in March

(Sharecast News) - Ascent Resources updated the market on production for March from the Petišovci field in Slovenia on Monday, reporting total production of 334,410 cubic metres or 2,036 barrels of oil equivalent.
The AIM-traded firm said that made for an average of 66 barrels of oil equivalent per day, with revenue for the month totalling €44,095.

Total production for February was 311,443 cubic metres, or 1,896 barrels of oil equivalent, for an average of 71 barrels of oil equivalent per day, with revenue of €44,513.

"Further updates on the installation of compression equipment to increase and prolong production from the field and progress on permitting will be given in due course," the Ascent Resources board said in its statement.

Not2, JB is working on what we have. Stimulation permits would be good. But the company still has directions to go in, even without those permits. The IPPC permit, now granted, gives a substantial amount of that confidence, which was previously not there at all. So not naivety. Pragmatism.
