The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Yes i agree with you RTN, it’s a bit stinky in my opinion.
The directors decided to move the goalposts just to ensure they are well rewarded for doing their jobs….for which they already receive a salary.
What about the poor shareholders who have put their own salaries and savings into this company (many of us paying at least double the current share price) to purchase shares.
Who is going to move the goalposts for us to ensure we are fairly rewarded…answers on the back of a capital loss letter!
Looks like apathy has taken over today. I must admit I am surprised and disappointed at the way we have ended 2021 considering the optimism we all had in January.
The fact that the whole world is still being affected by the coronavirus pandemic and our potential solutions have not made the breakthrough we had long hoped for.
I thought we had quite literally missed the boat with our PD & BT offerings for both on land and the cruise industry. It looked like coronavirus was on the retreat….then omricon made an unwelcome appearance and we still do not appear to making any real headway in landing new contracts..
I am still optimistic for the future as feel we have some word class offerings and we just need the first big contract to be landed…..just as hopeful for 2022

I am so glad to see you posted a follow up note Gerry….because as soon as I saw the ‘funding’ word my heart sank :o(….only until I read the next post ;o)
Merry Christmas to you and yours….and everyone else’s
I was here when it was 4p many years ago….thank goodness I bought some then.
The shorting brigade are out in full force now! :o(
Brutal……no other word for it! :o(
That’s just a repeat of the RNS from yesterday, but at least they seem to have an ally in the Evening Standard.
We are only paying out £243k in cash instead of £643k in shares if my reading of this RNS is correct.
That is a very altruistic and generous decision from Gerry and Camillus to give up a potential huge gain on the value of those shares.
We fellow shareholders should be grateful for that decision.
Nobody is happy with IQE’s management, they have been a total disaster for most investors.
It is only the senior management who have become wealthy by being involved with this company!
Ive decided to put my head back in the noose and add another tranche to my already large (for me) holding.
We have too many good things happening already (Labskin was the thing that got me in here in the first place several years ago) and the massive potential for other income streams opening up.

If the drilling is to appraise the size and depth of the field then I am perfectly happy with that.
These wells will not be very deep or complex which should make them relatively inexpensive to drill as they will only be coring wells.
The deeper resources comment is a new one on me, this is the first time we heard anything about it. I was under the impression that the tar sands were not suitable for drilling operations and conventional oil extraction.
We need a bit more information on what type of extraction they are talking about. The majority of drilling operations on the tar sands are to install coil tubing for steam or electric heaters like our own so far failed experimentation.
I thought what we were doing now with the MSAR option was a proven and most cost effective method of extraction, with environmental benefits which are hard to achieve in a tar sands oil field.
This is intriguing and maybe another potential way to extract additional oil….but it shouldn’t deflect from the route we are already committed to and it surprises me to see the share price opening negative today.
Hopefully this is MM’s trying to snatch stock from nervous holders.
I would call Kellogg’s a cereal employer! ;o)
Good luck WT, I hope your timing is right……this has been a brutal journey for all long term holders. I’ve given up trying to call the bottom of this long term downward spiral!
Newuncle you are becoming a bit of a joke, you have been harping and whinging on about people criticising others since Friday, yet that is all you have been doing yourself.
You are like dog chewing a bee, winding yourself up more and more each day.
If I had realised you were such a sensitive person I wouldn’t have bothered making what I thought was a reasonable and polite request to you simply pointing out the fact that we do not need a running commentary on every other buy or sell of DVRG shares. Plus you were becoming more and more despondent with each post you made as the share price was on a decline.
I’m all for reading good research and this BB is fantastic for that, you have also made some useful and interesting contributions that i have recommended.
The point I was trying to make (possibly not well enough for you) was the BB is very busy and there are a lot of posts every day that take a while to work your way through, but when there are repeated posts commenting on mediocre and relatively mundane buys and sells ,it just becomes a chore and little or no value IMHO.
My post was reasonably well received by others at the time (not including yourself obviously) so I am not alone with my opinion or point of view.
I have a very large holding of DVRG (for me) it is my second largest stock and i am fully committed to the company and its future success. I rarely make posts on this BB as there are many very knowledgeable people posting and carrying out fantastic research for which i am very grateful.
I do not want to fill the BB with rubbish….but I guess I might just have done that with this post. Lol
Anyway….very sorry that you have taken offence Newuncle…..good luck with your investment in the future :o)
I think the bar has been set far too low for those options, especially as they are exercisable over a period of 10 years.
That looks like free money to me……I would have been happier if they had set them at something higher than 2 or 3p to give an incentive and to show the confidence the directors have in the company and the expectation of a much higher share price..
Smells of noses in the trough to me!

Lol, I did say I was not trying to be confrontational and there were several people who recommended my comments within seconds…..ah well…sadly some people are easily offended :o(
