TonyBoy, well done getting someone from IQE to actually respond to your call, I am very surprised you managed to get that far!
Over the last 10 years or so I have tried to contact the company about 3 or 4 times with absolutely no response from anyone.
I tried calling customer services and left my contact details, I sent emails to the company and received nothing EVER in response.
I have been a shareholder for around 20 years and have a pretty substantial holding (for me). I hoped and not unreasonably expected that due to the size of my shareholding I would at least get some sort of response from someone in the company.......not a chance!
I feel very let down by their customer relations department in fact I would go so far as to say they were disrespectful and ignorant. Ignorant to the fact that sometimes people need to be able to talk or ask questions to get clarification and ignorant in the way they actually ignore and blank shareholders.
I was never asking for inside information or ranting or raving, in fact I never actually got to frame a proper question, I would leave my contact details tell them I was shareholder and how many share I held (thinking that would make a difference lol).
I hope for all of our sakes Fridays announcement and the subsequent jump in share price is maybe the beginning of some sort of recovery. I also hope when the new CFO starts in his new position he might rattle a few cages and change the closed culture of shareholder relations and be a bit more PR savvy.
