Paz1 - some positive news from Vast will send the sp back up. As far as Atlas is concerned, there will be an interesting dilemma. Have they been selling their holding to push the sp down? If so, when do they think the sp will have gone as far as it will go? How much more downside is there, especially if there's the chance of good news anytime? Will they start buying if the sp starts to go back up?
I guess that only they themselves will know what they're going to do but their influence over the sp is much diminished now (especially if they've sold even more since last week's announcement).

All about delivery, Sandy... been investing for 30 years and never come across a share where there is such vitriol and, have to say, such a group of organised bashers. Unfortunately, the Atlas situation has been the focus for weeks/months and has coloured any news from the company. The destruction that Atlas have brought to the sp is not the same as Vast failing to deliver. Now that the influence of Atlas is reducing and that there's some progress at Vast, the circumstances are favouring a rebound in the Market Cap... was it you who referred to timing earlier... timing is looking good to invest... aimho!

Hi Sandy, whilst I'm relatively new to Vast, I do appreciate the historical lack of delivery (goodness, I've been in Prem for 5years so I know about the lack of delivery!!!) but I'm taking comfort from this statement -
"With the two new Mantis drills on-site and the transition to mechanised mining, together with the implementation of long hole stope mining, significantly increased production output is expected from the end of Q2 2022 onwards."
Both drills are on-site now so I expect AP to be feeding info to the market certainly be the end of the month if not before... I wouldn't underestimate the determination of these guys to deliver after the debacle with Atlas.

FTH - good summary of where we're at. It's over to AP to deliver... personally, I think we'll be hearing good news by the end of the month.

Another week without any significant news... is the Prem drift back on?

Two interesting RNS's this morning... I'm wondering what Atlas will do now (if they still hold). Their influence on the sp, up or down, isn't over quite yet. Can they see further downside if they sell whatever they have left? Do they think that there are other buyers hoovering up the spare shares? Will they be thinking that the sp is going to re-bound from here and wait til the sp is much higher to sell?
My guess is that they'll stall selling anymore for now. Personally, I think that there is good news coming at any time and, if history is anything to go by, the sp will rocket on good news... aimho.

Jenkoo - I doubt that any lth interpreted the Stockbox interview or indeed, today's RNS in isolation. GR has a long record of failing - whether it is delivery or getting a good deal. It's against that background that many of us interpret GR's announcements. And it isn't only about what is stated in an RNS by GR, it is also what he's not been able to say.

The market didn't respond well to the RNS because it demonstrates another failure by GR. No assay results, no RUS, no funding deal and no decision on the mini mine. It seems that GR may have wanted to spin something more positive but it seems very clear that the nomad put a halt to that because GR doesn't yet have anything nailed down... and if it's not nailed down. he can't claim to have achieved it.

Will we get another RNS soon? Probably not - why issue today's RNS if you're going to announce the mini mine and a deal next week? I'd be surprised if we're going to get any significant news this month.

btw, if I was Snowking, I'd be pretty annoyed at GR... again, Snowking's credibility has been shot down because GR has allegedly been feeding him a tall story or two!

Johhny - I think GR expected to announce the deal 4 weeks ago but something went wrong with it... Suzhou, perhaps, looking for another chunk of Prem or looking for GR to step aside or not enough assay results to satisfy Suzhou? I think he's either chasing a new funder or waiting for more assay results to come back.

Acker - from my point of view, the sp is heavily influenced still by the fact that GR is still the CEO and is still not delivering anything. That tipping point I'm looking for hasn't come yet.
I hope that I'm wrong but I reckon that there are a number of issues behind the scenes which have not come to light yet.
If GR has fallen out with Suzhou or simply thinks that it is best to get another party on board then I think that it is very odd that he's not been able to recruit another funder - is there not a long queue formed already for investing in lithium? If Suzhou or another funder wants to invest but just not yet then that points to the possibility that GR doesn't have enough or good enough results to get them to commit (or to work out a price)... is there simply a delay in getting results done or are the results already available not quite of the standard required?
Given previous history, I'm 95% certain that there are issues!

Horult - the tweet said that there was road rehabilitation going on. They're not building a new road, they're filling in the holes of the existing road... very common in Africa!

Yes, Acker - the off-take price could be an issue. We might get interest free funding but they will be looking for a discount on the price, whether that is with Suzhou or anyone else... nothing comes free!

Reading the RNS more closely, one could take from it that there is still a massive delay in getting any assay results... perhaps, once could read into it that Prem have had to re-do all previous results. In any event, there doesn't seem to be any ready to publish... according to the RNS.
That would explain why there is no funding deal in place.
If the mini mine is the approach that GR takes then it seems that he has given himself 9.5 months to do it (to end Q1 23). There is some evidence of mini mines being built in 6 or 7 months so I guess that we could be waiting a month or two more before we get any concrete information on the decision to take that approach. Are we back in to Prem drift territory?

Acker - you and I know that GR has trouble getting good deals over the line.

Johnnypc - when GR did the interview, he was fully expecting to announce the pilot mine 2 weeks later. Why didn't he announce it? Something has got in the way... has he not drilled enough, are the grades not as expected, were Suzhou looking for more of Prem as part of the funding, a combination of all 3? Did Suzhou get wind that GR was going to do a smash and grab and didn't like it? Whatever GR had in his mind when he did the interview doesn't seem to be working out now!
According to GR, the original deal with Suzhou only took a matter of days/weeks to set up - why is this taking way longer? What are the Chinese unhappy about?
If all is OK then why oh why can he not be more definite?
And some still think that he is a great CEO!!!

Johnny - you're absolutely right! You have to ask why this pilot mine hasn't been fixed down and why funding isn't in place especially if Suzhou want to fast track! GR doing a stonking job yet again!

We're absolutely no further forward than we were when GR first mentioned a pilot mine.
No assay results and still only 18,000 drilled.
It's clear that Suzhou are not committing to it yet and it seems that GR still needs to be convinced!

I still find it incredulous that anyone thinks that GR has done or is doing a good job. He struck lucky with the EPO but has mismanaged every other asset. In fact, I'd argue that he has mismanaged Zulu. The sp should be well ahead of where it is now but it still suffers from the GR factor. I've always argued that the assets will eventually outweigh GR's mis-management but I don't think that we're there yet. Last week's rise simply takes us back to the price Suzhou paid. As I've said already in the last week, I'm very sceptical that GR's next RNS will be the stonking one that everyone thinks it will be.
I think we all expected a decision on the pilot mine 4 weeks ago... it hasn't come so we all should ask why... especially when the Chinese are desperate to fast track Zulu.
Given GR's previous record, I'm not rushing to add to my holding right now!

Fantasy - I really appreciate your altruism in giving us all the benefit of your wisdom but no-one is fooled by your claim that you're not here to tell anyone to buy, sell or hold... pull the other one!
There have been 7 trading days since Atlas held 174m shares - I doubt that Atlas are on the ball with updating Vast on how many shares they hold given the bad blood between them... they're still playing games!
There have been several hundred million shares traded since so I suspect that they have a lot, lot less now than they did on 31st May, if as you say, they're looking to get rid of their holding asap.
