Toff/ your comparing apples with pears..the FT100 is full of Banks, Insurance companies,which got hit in the 2008 crash,,investing is all about stock picking,,iam up 110% this year,,GSK is in transition,,if you believe in its story going forward,has i do,,use this chance to fill your boots

Win/it looks like tech stocks are being sold off,,some i believe are well overvalued ie Tesla and Uber,,The Nasdaq has had a great run up and its healthy to have a correction,,I dont think its like the dotcom bubble of the late 90s,,which i made a big mistake ,,buy buying an American tech fund,,full of Apple,Goggle ect,,in the mid 90s,then selling in the early 20s when i had got my money back after the crash,,that investment would be worth a nice house in Kensington now

from tech to value,, ive just increased my holding in the last few days

the dot com bubble

we are probably down today due to market rotation from tech to value,,we saw it 20 years ago,,we are in a different situation now,,hopefully this is a small correction which is good for the markets

Osteo/my advice to you is to do exactly the same as you did before,,dont look at it for 5 years,,you didnt buy a SP you bought a small piece of TRMR

rusty,,thats what companies like,,fund managers tend to hold longer then pi,,i think we have a good mix of well known names,,we are the top holding of the Schroders small cap fund,,which gives us good exposure

this share is trading at half book price ,,so is cheap,,its a bet on the Uk economy,,especially the housing market,,i have a average of 44p,,i will be holding

Tough/my advice is dont do it..i dont mean putting money/shares in your Isa,,If you are selling in your Investment Acc and putting it into your Isa,,you have 12 months to do,,it amazes me how investors cant wait to put money in their Isa or Sipp,,If you wasnt selling and using cash i could understand it,,If you wait you might have a window of opportunity,,today would have been ideal

Short/what is the difference between an investor or speculator,,in my mind nothing,,Whats the difference between going long or short,,in my mind nothing,its all about making money,,,shares and the markets have no idea who you are and they dont care,,so why should you care about TRMR or any other share,,We all make a bet when we press buy or sell,,for every buyer theres a seller,,your competing against the market every time you make a trade

maz/i forgot to add ,if i was in your position,i would now be buying more,,funds permitting

maz/i do expect the SP will rise if we beat expectations on results,,its all,ifs and buts,,but my opinion is you will get your money back and more,,within the next year,,i know its easier said then done,but try to ignore the SP,,ask yourself,Do i believe in this business,,if the answer is Yes,,Stay with it

maz/ i wouldnt be too worried about the fall,,most of the market is off today,,just been watching CNBC and they are putting it down to the yield curve,,theres always something to worry about,i know its like watching paint dry,,but we have probably got a few more weeks of this until the update/results
