Trump is now desperate for a deal with China. Trump hates to pay China interest on the debt. He wasnt expecting the market reaction to the tariffs. If China do nothing and refuse to play ball, the american people will turn against Trump. With the EU vote you had winners and losers. Unfortunately in my opinion GSK was a loser. If we stayed in the EU and the Democrats had taken the White House GSK would be £25 a share

The EU is a cartel but its a cartel that would benefit GSK. The EU is all about big business. We do now have our independence, so we can make our own decisions. The only problem is we tend to elect a bunch of idiots. There is one thing for sure we will not be able to rely on the US in the future. Lets face it, we might not like it but the american people voted for Trump. Tariffs were on the agenda.

China,US and the EU are all full of debt. Looking 10 years ahead my money would be on China. I hope im wrong

Nick/i already knew all that. The Biden administration was also negative on Pharma .In fact in all the years ive been investing ive never known any government to be positive on Pharma. Couer/ I would like to see a deal with the US and a better trade with the EU. If the EU stopped the "Freedom of Movement" nonsense ,which hasnt worked we could be back in by the next election. It now looks like a straight fight between the US and China.

Couer/ we are way ahead of the EU when it comes to a trade deal with the US. Obviously we were better off in the EU(we lost 4% off GDP) but in my opinion the vote was all about immigration. You could tell that by the vote London and the South East voted to remain. In general the Midlands and the North voted to leave. You can forget about rejoining the EU,it aint going to happen in our lifetime. I hope we do a deal with the US asap. I just hope it doesnt cause a world recession

I though the EU response to the tariffs was pathetic. They had a great chance to hit the tech giants. That tells me they are close to doing a deal with the US

Trump suffers from Animality he bullies the weak and bows to the strong. He wont be able to bully China, thats for sure, I suspect this will go on for a few weeks until he can claim victory, with a better deal for the US. Like what he did with NATO, we are all paying more for our defence. Quality companies like GSK will be eventually be OK. When i get my dividend tomorrow its going straight back in.

Couer/ The US deal is nearly done the last government was working on it with Trump in his first term. It wouldnt surprise me if he signs it when he comes over for the state visit

Win/ I dont think so, sure i think the next 10 years will not be as good for the markets as the last ten but i cant see it being anything like the 1930. Corrections are healthy, its a time to buy quality companies at cheaper prices, I will be using my ISA allocation on Monday to top up on one of my beaten up companies(LIO). The market might go down another 20% but the quality companies will come back. The main thing is not to have a company with too much debt so it can survive a recession. I love these times as a investor i come alive.
