The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
That UFO tweet is old news published last week. It really shows desperate times if they have to resort to tweeting old news. Anybody who is seriously into mining in oz would have already read that. If this is the best they can do on the news front they are in serious trouble. Social media is about the here and now not last week's news.
Oi Nap don't spoil the fun. I forgot about the rules of directors buying in and the time periods for when earth shattering news drops. Silly me. I bet he's waiting for it to get into the 4's, another couple of weeks of silence and we won't be far away.
Of course it happens Wents AIM businesses will spend money on all types of social media, I've no doubt about it. These places are just a bit of fun, nobody takes any serious notice of what's said on here, it's just a bit of fun an banter, in fact talking of banter I'd love Chris2 to be back on smirking at the sp and winding a few up.
As for an rns can't see anything for a few weeks yet but I'd love to see a buy from the new CEO, unless the new dude thinks the sp is going even lower then I wouldn't blame him for waiting it out. A decent buy from a direcat at the current sp could instill a bit of confidence. We'll see soon enough. Right I'm off to catch bass :-)
So samples were sent from hancack in June to potential customers and interested parties almost 3 months later we're still waiting for an update on how that all went down.
Hopefully it didn't go as badly as the last rns from Mexico.
A bit of communication with shareholders would be much appreciated.
I can sell 4 million in one go but not for the price they wanna pay as I'm sure many more could. Doesn't mean there's a big buyer there just means that there's fluidity and given the large spread the MM's know they will make money. Now if I was offered a premium for a decent number to sell I might think there was someone desperate to hoover them up, but certainly not at what is being offered at the moment.
My bad Tiggrr, all very interesting. However if we are looking towards first quarter 23 is it not reasonable for us to see a bit of activity on the ground? The next few months will fly by. Even if only a few portacabins and shiny shovels. I appreciate organising a drill off shore is a bit more complex but at least on the build up share holders get regular updates on environmental licences, h&s approvals, drill ship charter and crews, the news flow on the build up to spud is mostly very regular. Bringing it back to us, with a target date for let's say March 23, we aren't really getting much news at the moment, a rns saying we've bought a portaloo a kitchen and shovel for the site would be a start :-)
These guys have already made a start making preparations for accommodation ect and yet they are looking towards Dec 23 early 24. Have we started preparing yet on our site? If we haven't can someone explain how we will be even close to shipping DSO in the first quarter of 23.
Max you said there wouldn't be a placement last time when I let you know the day before it actually happened. Remember I gave you the heads up on twitter.
They might not need the money as some say but that's never stopped an AIM listed business doing a placement before. The only thing that makes me think it won't happen yet is the sp. They'll really struggle at the current sp to do any decent placement.
WHI an TP will really struggle to get more money out of the same lot that invested last time. They're still sitting on big losses, they're not going to throw more money in until they get close to a return.
C'mon Wents we're all fed up with this lot, always the promise of news and big buy orders keeping the price down, as soon as those big sells come this will rocket :-) you know the score mate don't believe the hype it will happen when it happens, I'm not expecting any news for weeks apart from pretty pictures by twitter which counts for nowt. I'm off to catch bass while the weather stays good.
Tend to agree with you Haddock, seen it so many times before with oil an gas drilling timescales setting dares before even checking on the availability of drill ships and crews. Although not quite the same there are so many things beyond Alien's control to be giving timescales and if equipment, transport and off taking is in place you'd expect them to have let shareholders know
Exactly DRB83, Got to laugh at the logic here. If an order is there and it cannot be filled you don't drop the price. If there's a huge demand for shares you'd be deluded to think that the price will drop. If that's the case it's like saying when some good news comes and there's a few more ppl interested in buying...... Jeez the share price will crash because of the buy orders, work that one out :)
If someone is wanting shares and the order isn't filled at the price they wanna pay they simply have to pay more. End off.
I can buy any amount I want at the moment up to 5 million and I can sell any amount but I've only got 4 million and I ain't selling at a loss. They can drop it as low as they want and their tactic won't work and as for taking out stop losses hardly anybody with a half decent holding will have a stop loss so that logic does not add up.
Simple truth being, communication has been crap, nothing positive for ages, no updates on what is happening at EH and no update on being shovel ready in what will be a few, months if you go on their timescales. Time to do better than tweets of the Aussie landscape.
