Hairydavy, you obviously don't get the physical payment but the dividend price is removed from the opening price tomorrow, xo this willl probably open in the 85p range and could go lower so in that eefect you get the dividend tomorrow.

Hairydavy, Why didn’t you just buy in tomorrow if you’re confident it will be so much higher in a couple of months. That way you get the dividend on the price drop and if you’re buying back in when they pay the dividend and it’s much higher you will get a lot less shares for your money.

Buy backs would only have a positive effect if they cancelled them and not hold them in treasury as gifts to the directors at a later date,

Buybacks don’t make any difference in raising this share as all the shares are held in treasury so they still have them.
