yes - but there is a big caveat here.
if a person had a stroke and was hospitalised in a location where the poc test was available, even in a trial, then the correct medication could be administered within an hour i.e., clopidogrel or an alternative!
however, a person in another hospital would be pretty ****ed off if they had to wait 5 days on a test coming back from a lab before treatment, in what is a critical time period for secondary strokes.
i thought the nhs was all about equality and uniform standards across the uk.
