Hellie, the update from 17th April covered the DaaP sale payment :-
"The DaaP payment process will begin once the licencing payment process is complete, about which a further update will follow in due course"
If HL had said they'd been contacted by an agent working on behalf on Cloudtag that might have been a bit more reassuring than them saying it was Cloudtag itself that had contacted them - that contradicts how Amit said it would happen.
Thanks for passing on the info though !
1984 - Am I missing something here ?
Why would ABH sell something to you worth approx $0.275 for less than that ( 1p has been mentioned in the past, but no idea what the perceived "going rate" is )?
Surely if the money is on it's way, then if these are his own shares, he'll wait and receive the payout like the rest of us, or if these are new, unissued shares that are available, then why would he not just buy them himself ?
To me, if he has been selling shares at any point since the deal was announced, for less than approx $0.275, then that is a huge red flag that the whole thing is a con and there's no daap, no deal, no payout.
He's already announced how much he is going to pay out per share ( for the $50m ), which seemed about right for the latest number of shares and approx $2m for an Agents fee.
So if it's all true that we are getting paid, he can't have sold that many more shares, or he would need to reduce the amount per share he's paying out.
Is that a future update ?? "Due to all the extra work the agent is having to do, their costs have risen, and therefore there will be less paid than originally stated" :-)
Well spotted
So he's now removed the line :
"The licensing fees have been deposited with CIBC bank, located in Chicago, Illinois."
from the 22nd March update, the rest of the update remains as it was.
Hmmmm.................that implies that never actually happened and he's been told to remove it
You'd have thought that if he was tidying up the website, he'd have got that video on the front page demonstrating the Onitor Track taken down - that's just embarrassing !
Genuine question I don't know the answer to :
If a major company (such as J&J) who deal in the billions, made a software purchase for $225m, would they have to name who they had bought it from, or even say it was a DaaP, or could it just covered in a quarterly report under "software purchases", or something similarly non-descript ?
If Amit is selling his own shares, then surely that is the biggest Red Flag ever, and no-one would fall for that. If the deal is done as he says, and the shares will shortly be paying out around 22p, then why on earth would he sell you some of his own for 1p, he'd be doing himself out of 21p per share ??
Any sign that Amit is selling his own shares means this is a hoax, but I can understand believers wanting to buy extra sgares off of other PIs
Why does getting an email from the agent reveal who they are ?
It could easily come from a generic email address they have set up eg enquiries@cloudtagpayingagent.com
Not sure if all those costs would be for the Agents, or if there would be any other costs as well, maybe banking transaction charges, or something ??
It was never stated explicitly, but on 11th Jan it was stated that the payout would be "4.8 US dollar cents per share, after costs". There are just under 1 billion shares, so when you do the maths it works out just under $48m will be paid out, and the licencing deal was for $50m, therefore costs of over $2m
They can't give you the money until they know where to pay it, so in theory the notification will include some means of you giving them your bank account details.
Did you ask them "Have you had any correspondance from Cloudtag" ? Because if so, then that's an example of what 1984 is talking about - they are not supposed to be getting any contact from Cloudtag, all communication is supposed to be coming from the "agents" that Amit has employed. So ii saying they've had no contact from Cloudtag does not make the situation any clearer.
He did reply, at 19:01 yesterday evening - said it was Interactive Investor
Do you rent your house ;-)
Oops, my post was being written without seeing Scids post. Back to square one then.......
That's good news, although I thought it was supposed to be the Agents rather than Cloudtag that would be contacting the brokers/shareholders ??
Ahh, thanks EnzoF for clearing that up - that's what I feared had happened
Hoosierdaddy @ 09:50 - "I've just phoned AJ bell and there is a corporate action in progress. They are expecting money in the next 7 days. They said then they process the money and then it is paid to my account!"
Are you the same person as the poster on FB who said the exact same thing yesterday ? It would be more comforting if 2 people had received that message from AJ Bell, but the fact that you wrote the same word for word as the FB post makes me guess you are the same ?
B3ast said "Be interesting what happens if no one has had form of contact by Friday"
Someone on FB claiming that they've phoned their broker AJ Bell, and they've confirmed that there's a corporate action in progress.
