Thats 25m USD this year on top of what was planned. I don't think it's 'new' money - simply brought forward into this year to accelerate drilling. Still good though as it shows their confidence in Haveiron and their sense of urgency for Telfer

Or, to put it another way. As a major, what would you pay to ensure Telfer can receive high grade ore for the next 10, 20 years?

We'll have a much better idea once the maiden resource is done and how much Newcrest pay for the extra 5% (assuming they take up the option). Entirely possible they may want it all but, bearing in mind the other prospects, we are definitely negotiating from a position of strength. It's unlikely they'll want RIO knocking on our door

It all depends upon continued drilling success at Haveiron; positive drilling from other targets; possible disposal of non-core assets and at what price; what Newcrest might want to pay to Haveiron; possible JV's on other targets; price of gold etc etc etc
It's a stretch maybe at this moment on time but I wouldn't discount it longer term

Newcrest IS Telfer for a lot of people so I don't imagine they'll keep any positive Hav news quiet

Good point and I agree.
If, when, Newcrest decide to but Hav they will need to have shareholders onside to Justify whatever the price ultimately is. To this end they are going to need to sell Hav as the saviour of Telfer up until they get a resource estimate done.
That's when I'm expecting fireworks

I'm certainly not expecting the half year from Newcrest to have a negative impact.
Massive boost? I'm not so sure so soon after the last drilling update but any further detail on Hav will undoubtedly help.

Yep, definitely diluting ITS.
Not advice but I would pick the best, stick with it and get some sleep in between.
I know there has been some discussion on potential risks but I think they are mitigated to a large extent by the numerous upsides with GGP.

On roulette you would be spreading your risk. Moving out of GGP, I suspect you would be diluting.
