As far as the accounts are concerned SteJ, they were due on 31st July so they are already 2 Months outside their legal obligation. I'm not sure if they are allowed to apply for an extension after the due date anyway, but if they are, they would only have another 4 weeks or so.

What I'm focussing on and I find of concern is that Companies House have already commenced the procedure of winding up Tintra by giving public notice that they are dissolving the company and taking the assets and IP. This will happen on 26th November 2023 unless the board of Tintra supply their accounts to Companies House.

It's worth noting that a formal offer is just that. On average a company takeover takes 6 to 12 months.

I call it being proactive personally. Each to their own. When should we raise the alarm, 2 days before it's disolved?

Rockfordd - QBT are at the mercy of a large miner allowing them access to a minimum of 1250 (ish) miners (depending on hashrate capability) So they can't just mine Bitcoin unfortunately.

SteJSteJ - I have emailed the company. No reply. I'm not scaremongering, it's a fact that if they don't act they will be struck off and everybody loses everything. Based on the companies previous lack luster approach to timescales, it concerns me, yes. It should concern you too.

Aiden31 - I agree that it's probably in everyones interests to keep us suspended. But to do that, they will need to contact companies house and apply for the 3 Month extension. They haven't done that. If they submit accounts in order to stop the strike off, then the share gets unsuspended here. Like you I want to get the out of the way, but at the same time I don't want us all to lose our money to the government (they get enough already) just because of a little admin error. Tintra have already proven to us that they let things slip. This one detail can't be one for them.

Aiden32 - I've seen an RNS regarding a possible firm offer before 5th October. But as you will be aware, buying a business doesn't happen over night and couple take months to complete. Maybe I have missed the part that says Tintra will be buying our shares back immediately?

Now you need around 3278 Antminers S19 (95Th) in order to mine 1 BTC per day. So based on QBT's claim of 2.6x faster we'd need at least 1261 miners to keep up with the minimum and actually mine a Bitcoin. Then we'd have to sell that Bitcoin to pay the electric bill.

Thing is, they are letting it happen. They could have filed with Companies house to get a 3 Month extension, which they haven't done. Another 2 Months of ignoring the situation and the company is disolved. Maybe they don't realise the significance of what they are [not] doing.

What are the implications of a compulsory strike off?

As mentioned, a company that has been closed via a compulsory strike off can no longer trade as a limited company. On top of this:

The company’s bank account will be frozen and any assets will become the property of the Crown

The actions of the company directors that led to the strike off could be investigated

Employees of the company will be made redundant

The reputation of everyone involved in the company will be tarnished, potentially leading to the loss of future business

Tintra will have until November 26th to submit their accounts. If they fail to do so, Tintra will be struck off and no longer exist as a legal entity.

Tintra could have applied or a 3 Month extension, but they failed to do so.

Gazette notice to strike off is because the accounts are overdue. It's a standard Companies House thing.

I think we're all invested for slightly overlapping reasons. My main interest is Dynasty. For the last 32 years I've been involved designing some of the most popular games and platforms in the country and abroad. But as my background is electronics, electronic security and electronic payment methods working closely with banks, Satoshipay also interests me. I see it as a freebie in my investment here, but quite an exciting one if something comes of it.

It's interesting as to why Satoshipay have been granted a three month extension to their account declaration. It may be nothing, it may be something. No point assuming I suppose. Looking forward to the valuation placed on it all the same. It's worthy to note that the last rise to ATH wasn't because of Satoshipay, but Dynasty. Yet all the talk is about Satoshipay.
