I must admit the tactics of the shorts and bots have me at a loss - the SP is beat all time lows. Without news it is in leila to materially improve due to the macro environment but it is also unlikely To materially worsen (without negative specific news)
Given the tiny share volumes on this share (even on high for thg volume days) - I simply don’t see how they are making money and why they don’t move on to other companies

The demise of the department store is so interesting and clearly a tailwind for THG- esp their fragrance business, which is fairly new and in FY, they highlighted as a particularly strong growth engine for them

I think THG have to do a q2 trading update. I know they didn’t last year, but they did give an upgrade when announcing cult beauty in august, so given no acquisitions are expected, it makes sense to do q2 update, which I would guess to be 3rd Thursday of this month (if it happens)

Well said katchra - agree with all your points. These are my reasons to believe in THG value receive:

- Citibank 220p price + beauty same value as current market share
- Beauty brands holding up in tough trading times (W7L/ PZ Cuzzons etc) - this sector is highly recession proof)
- Separation could allow investment into new thg beauty
- Chairman bought £1m shares at 86p/ No director sells and all big II holders either increased or maintained high holdings
- PE are interested: 2 fully funded bids despite PE money raise conditions becoming tough (ref boots)
- Whey prices are falling: headwind as thg seem to have managed CPI well
- Weaker pound: Circa 20% of business comes from USA so forex creates positive head wind (pound down -10% since start of year)
- Ingenuity is valued at zero, so anything positive from SoftBank option will rerate share + new Ingenuity client wins should help create value
- Covid restrictions being reduced in Asia and China will help lessen final mile delivery costs
- Global Covid restrictions reduction means more mobility - benefits thg with more conventions happening which is good for nutrition where trade shows help penetration, and also their hotel and spa business
- Myprotein listings across all major UK grocers. Can be easily replicated across all main geos
- End of war would be a massive uptick

I have no idea how a company with only 2.2bn revenue has over 10000 staff - I hope they start cutting jobs; not creating more. The admin cost increase vs last year (when share cost was stripped out) was horrific
I do agree though that eco and sustainability is vital so happy to see this job creation

Agreed Hosai and also any sales in dollar or currencies linked to dollar will create a circa +10% upside on just currency exchange vs h2 21 (knowing 20% of business comes from USA and they are growing in Middle East). Big tail winds / all head winds accounted for -
