exactly learn - people can see from my older posts, I am not a ramper/ and had concerns when it was being manipulated, but the minute a chairman buys over 1m shares, it draws a line under this and gives so much confidence just to wait, be patient, and treat the shorts/ trolls/ algos with the respect they deserve...which is none, and by doing nothing and not selling shares, we win

totallt agree 2phevs - the market makers have actually, somehow, managed to break the market for THG. there is almost zero liquidity hence the big differences we are seeing between BID ASK and also the volatile movements
The chair invested 1000000 into this company - best indication there is that all is doing very very well.
sit on the shares, dont let the shorts out - think of it as a game - all we have to do is nothing and the SP WILL rise. the shorts have to do so so much just to unlock a few thousand shares now

he said they were forward buying in bulk as prices were so high, but once the prices come down, the price increases they have already done to the consumer (WHICH HAVE HAD MINIMAL EFFECT ON DEMAND), will create more margin
pretty basis maths - the two headwinds on Nutrition (currency and whey prices) that hurt H2 '21 and H1 '22, now become a tailwind for H2 22

To be fair Steve in hull was/ is right. This happens every single time there is any sort of rise. The issue is the free float is very small and heavily shorted. And there is no buying power from II as they own most of it anyway. This is why private TO was so needed (in the sense that this kills this manipulation)
Otherwise consistent good news and fundamentals is needed over a mid term form period

agreed SP - Lord Allen MASSIVE buy has finally put a ceiling on all the FUD
SP is will up and down, but no PIs will be tricked or scared into selling by the trolls anymore

they owe us an update on this - its a disgrace not to as this is why a lot of people invested over 13 months ago

the analyst call is here - where Moulding says they are working on a solution specific for SB, and he is very confident it will go ahead

you would have to assume a clear strategy was aligned upon before the investment was announced. It would all depend on whether the stategy is still valid today (clearly they dont invest based on SP)
hence why we need THG to share more on this - I do agree it seems less likely to happen than likely, but as they still hold 6.6% of total THG, there is a strong possibility of investing at a lower level (it would at least bounce up the SP and help their 6.6% investment)
dont be so dismissive as we simply do not know - what we do know is that until they say they do not want to take the option, it is clearly in play

Hi London - thanks and yes I also see the logic in your post.
As you say, the key thing is communication from THG on this - in this current market and based on THG SP, it is unlikely SB would invest. However, surely they have a further out view than 12 months or so, and they must have a long term plan for ingenuity to invest such a high amount in the option. This surely cant have changed, and we must remember the only investments from SB Northstar they kept is THG and Autostore, so i do think their is a high possibility of a re-negotiated deal being agreed.
But as it is now a nego, it probably will go the fall timeline possible so August + 6 months

In hindsight the worst thing THG ever did was not just take the SB ingenuity money and then find a way to separate (I am sure MM says in the call abou the option that SB wanted to give it straight away, and THG pushed back) - this money would have no capex needs in the future for ingenuity which would have helped the financials of the rest of the group

being frank, I hope they can renegogiate it as even at 1/4 of the previous agreement it makes sense as it would fund ingenuity capex (based on assumpion it needs circa 75m a year) for the next 4-5 years ie by then it would be highly profitable

this would also save the group the same amount of money a year, meaning an immediate benefit to bottom line ebitda

surely as SB are the 4th biggest shareholder in the group, and THG need the investment, a deal can be brokered. its not a huge amount of money for SB, esp once ARM is floated

exactly Jimmy - this idea that you have 'lost if a share price goes down is why some many PI lose money - its too emotional for them.
who cares what the SP does - daily movements are not a reflection of the company. when you have chair buying 1m pounds worth of shares, and the latest statement confirming they are on track with their forecast (which is 22-255 growth/ ebitda of circa 161m/ ingenuity revenue of up to 120m, if you sell cos the SP is volatile, you really are a mug PI

agreed - bull markets are all about loading up and waiting for the bull rush to return (which it always does)
the art is to be patient, and we have the chair of the company buying a massive amount to give us confidence all is ok (knowing he has spent the last 3 months getting a full analysis of the current financials and defining the future plan with the CEO, who is majority shareholder and has most to lose - and has never sold a share) - what more confidence do we PI need....

Steve - i really wouldnt worry. The chair spent 1,000,000 on shares - who cares what the SP does in the short term
