Myprotein is really gathering momentum in more traditional listings- since this year they have listed in 3 of the top 4 Uk supermarket chains as well as coop and now fitness first
Combined with failing whey prices and the strong organic q1 growth, I see this division as a major enabler for SP improvement

Nasdaq is still going up and we are kinda going down….wish it had more support when we make these 5% gains- like Steve said, it will always be walked back down
But agree news is key…annoying this is the weakest part of Thg

Yeah it always sells into itself. After 12 months of pain, I ve realised to not ever been loyal to this share and trade the hell out of it when possible

there are so many positive tail winds for THG, its such a shame that they are in a sector that literally no II or large investor wants to have any money for now until minimum end of the summer to end of 2022

Then for beauty - you can’t strip out acquesition as you don’t know what their contributed but I don’t care as they were bought for strategic reasons such as product manufacturing/ exposure to use / new brand relationships

When you strip out acquisitions, thg grew +20% last year - v good when your consider currency fluctuations are included and are a negative drag
And as Matt said the acquisitions are strategic to their other business aims and not merely to grow top line

Both US and now Europe why protein prices and esp future prices are falling quite fast

IMO myprotein should be valued at least as much as the full current market cap of THG- esp when you consider its 90% in-house and fully verifical (ie all own brand except clothing so super high margins) and the mutilples nestle paid for their recent acquisition into health (and remember nestle use ingenuity for their vitamin and garden of life business, and also parts for Purina and confectionery…..)

but since then, the unit who invested in THG from softbank is no more, and andreas hansson is rumoured to have left softbank and FY report gave no reference to softbank

agreed Steve, I was super bullish on this, but am starting to reassess. I think shorts havesimply reloaded (when SP went up) with most staying under 0.5% threshold. they are now simply selling and will rinse and repeat, knowing no II are buying/ no PE bids are active, and PI are weak.
this share is becoming an opportunity cost waste
