The more I research sir Tom Hunter and nick candy, the more likely it seems they are working together with aconsortium to TO Thg with the full support of moulding. The connection between candy and sir Tom, and sir Tom and moulding is so strong- the point being the candy potential offer, and the kings street offer all have one thing in common- insiders. This is going to happen. Thg won’t be staying public- no point being shorted each and every day. They have got all the capital they need from the public market - now they can buy out the free float from PI minnows (15% of shares), roll the big II into having the same shares but private, and buy out some of the smaller bank / VC holdings etc

Facts are 170 has been bid so it’s not going to fall much below current price. King street have been buying up shares so may increase offer (v likely). Candy may offer and is being supported by Bank of America (as per RNS)

Thanks for your thoughts both of you - and agree , if he would accept 2.5£ per share, it’s got to be nailed on that one of the 2 bidders or an undisclosed new bidder make that as an offer. Interesting it would be a nice premium if circa 50%+ to highest price on Thursday so has a nice sound to it when / if offered
I think we all agree 2.5£ is low ball, but what people forget is MM will remain in full control (as his shares will roll into new private company), he gets back full control and doesn’t have to deal with the BS of the city- this is why I see this option as the most likely.

It’s superb that shares on loan are reducing / ahorts closing. And SP increasing from 145 close of last week to 152 this week is testimony to this plus chance of increased bid. Why do people think SP dropped so hard in final 30 mins of business yesterday? Esp when nasdaq was flying

anything north of 2+ needs to be accepted as the city are flexing their muscles saying "we own thg, not you moulding'. this is unfortunately the reality, and it needs to go private to get fairvalue. otherwise the low 100s beckon.
