The point is that there has been discussion here about whether the government will use rapid testing kits in clinical (POC) environments only, or whether they will be used in home settings. This job advert indicates the latter.

Immediate opportunities are available with Manpower working for Royal Mail, who are looking for Category B (3.5 Tonne light van) Multi-Collection or Drop Drivers to work supporting with the collection and delivery of Covid-19 test kits for a three month period, with option to extend by an additional three months.

You will be either collecting or delivering some of the most important test kit packages, supporting with the efforts to halt Covid-19. Which means we’re able to offer weekend work with shift times of 2pm to 6pm.?

If you are able to work on Saturdays and Sundays, we would love to hear from you.?As a Category B (3.5 Tonne light van) Multi-Collection or Drop Delivery Driver you will be provided with PPE, full induction and training, and will be working moving packets and parcels around the local area following socially distanced conditions in line with government guidelines regarding Covid-19.

What you’ll need to do:

· Follow delivery and collections schedules and itineraries to the letter

· Collect or deliver Covid-19 test kits

· Carry out relevant safety checks on the vehicle

· Maintain Royal Mail’s excellent standard of service to their customers

What we’ll need from you:

· A flexible, can do attitude

· Good communication skills

· Previous experience of driving 3.5 Tonne vehicles in the UK ideal

· Previous experience of working in a parcel multi-drop or delivery role would be ideal but not required

I think the fundamentals HAVE changed:

1. We’ve had a clear assertion that the company is fully funded for the proposed increase in capacity to 2m+ tests / week.

2. We’ve heard positive news about our involvement in antigen testing

They may well have outgrown finnCap.

I agree MB. Timing from L&G has been unhelpful for ongoing investors, but does create opportunity for those prepared/able to increase their position sizes.

It’s been my view for a while that ODX needs new investors (preferably institutional) to make SP progress. I think we are approaching the point at which II’s will be attracted to the cash generating potential of the company. I would not be surprised to see TR1’s from some new names in the next few weeks. When we do see that we may have a catalyst for an upward move.

I had thought ODX would do a placing to onboard some new II’s whilst funding investment in manufacturing capacity, but they evidently don’t need more cash for now. So any coming in will have to do so via the exchange, where we’ll see their activity. In general this won’t be II’s preferred route to building a stake.

Watch for positive TR1’s..!

No. This would be entirely unconnected. L&G’s own woes are quite distinct and will take more to resolve than a tiny holding in one of their funds!

The L&G holding is/was (as is the norm) split across a number of different funds (see https://www.morningstar.com/stocks/xlon/odx/ownership), each of which will have their own limits and parameters. Some will be able to use cash as an investment vehicle, some will have tight restrictions on cash holdings that are intended to keep them fully invested. Whilst the investment managers/teams involved have decided to reduce their exposures to ODX, this won’t have been driven by “...a general decision to go to a certain % cash” as hypothesised in your original post.

That’s not really how large investment houses work MB. For all sorts of reasons, very few investment decisions are made top-down in the way you suggest. I think it’s more likely that this is a share that has exceeded all of their targets (albeit for reasons they couldn’t foretell when they invested originally!) and they are happy to take some profits and reduce their position sizes back to where they were.

A chap called Colin King had a pretty good go at making the case for ODX earlier in the week.

Fully funded for the development of production capacity to >2m/week was the stand out point for me.

Although the possibility that TT on the Mologic antigen test may be underway by Christmas was a positive surprise also.

Agreed MB, but I don't think he was suggesting that we will have antigen LFT sales in 4 weeks time. Let's be reasonable with our expectations.

I think that is part of his charm. Most CEO's are looking for tap-in goals, and will always take the gift questions. CK appears to be trying to help investors understand the company by answering their questions. It's a radical strategy..!

In which case they would have avoided answering the question. I have sat on both ends of analyst/investor calls like this one. No will mean no.

The point is that the capacity they have been proposing is fully funded. Beyond that who knows, but the confirmation given is strong and clear.

All capacity increases discussed in the presentation can be funded with existing resources.

Good. I wasn't sure of this, but they are on the hook with a clear "yes" now.
