The numbers in the linked table aren't particularly difficult to interpret, but without proper context such interpretation would be meaningless. It would be necessary to know a lot more about the starting conditions for each study (prevalence, pre-test probabilities etc). It would be necessary to understand more about the composition of the tested populations, and to understand how the tests were administered (by a doctor/medical-professional, by a trained/practiced person, by an ordinary person who has just one try etc). I could go on...

Absent any of the above, no useful conclusions can be drawn.

Ok. That’s 5 (I’ve been counting, and keeping a record of account names) “new investors” who have joined in the last few weeks, all of whom have similarly announced their entrance.

Common characteristics:

- All are “new to investing”
- UFO is their first and only investment, or the only one they name
- All of them claim (one way or another) to have bought in a little while before posting
- All are at pains to show that they’ve done their reading/research
- Their “hello” post here is their first ever post on LSE
- All share a similarly chatty style
- None of them have posted very much since
- None of them have posted on any other shares since joining
- All of them offer up nice easy questions for the “experienced investors” here to answer

Those setting exam questions for undergraduates will have a basic understanding of how companies work though, so no.

The one-eyed parrots of LSE seek to represent that placing = dilution = bad. It’s not that simple, and we should always remember that companies are listed on AIM specifically in order to raise capital.

A placing that brings on board committed capital at a modest discount can be a strong positive for existing holders. When that capital is effectively deployed by management it is accretive for all shareholders.

There is no need for the level of distress on display from many here. ODX trades exactly how you would expect a speculative small cap to trade. Because it is a speculative small cap.

When we see a decisive break from the 47p-67p range we will likely see some turnover in holders, and hopefully in posters on this 'board - because it is frankly woeful reading at present.

I suspect it's an individual not a bona-fide investing institution. If it were a genuine insto investor they'd have been quick to say so. Reveal will be interesting.

It's a good point that there are some names who would be clear negatives. Let's hope it's not one of those.
