SP is volatile already. If (when!) it moves today - up or down - it won’t be directly as a result of this RNS.

It won’t have any impact. Block listing is a technicality, and the options exercise is too small to matter. Any moves today will be the result of other factors, not this RNS.

Conspiracy theories are misplaced. OMI saw a typical ramp last week, with the usual suspects in close attendance. It’s a shame that some (probably well intended) LTH here joined in.

Measuring anything from the momentary 40p high is an exercise in anchoring bias. There’s no point in trying to rationalise subsequent price action against it.

A mixture of the two tecbadger, plus some froth from over-eager twitter “traders” being wiped off the top. I don’t think anything else is required to adequately explain price action during the last few days.

Someone with a £5.5k per point spread bet would have lost £55k today.

A holder of 1% of the company would have experienced a paper loss of £180k today.

Prof1. I did a similar calculation last week on GGP, and also got to 58%. That’s clearly nonsensical, so my working assumption is that the 1.3m oz is expected to grow materially. I don’t know enough about GGP to understand whether this expectation is reasonable or not.

Valuation topics/posts weren’t popular here last week. Maybe there will be less resistance to such discussion now...

That might be a factor. I have an account with IG that I use occasionally for commodities and broad index hedging. I'd seen the emails on the changes, but hadn't made the connection you have highlighted. There were a few people posting here last week about upping their SB positions. Maybe they've had to come up with the margin to support them..? I will do some digging.

To my eye, siliver ;) looks to have escaped the $22-$26 box it was contained within for several months. Now has a trading range of $24-$28 other than during the /wsb silliness. A decisive break above $28 would be great news now...

That's not - at all - how it works bingo! You really need to go and do some reading on how companies and share prices work. You're a long way out of your depth here at the moment.

I think your starting SP of 40p is somewhat illusory. I'd ignore prices from the end of last weeks trading when the ramp was in progress Wednesday 17th I think we closed at around 33p. I'd measure from there, and ignore the irrational bit.

bingo - is the share price of a company is determined by taking its opening market cap , adding the value of shares bought and deducting the value of shares sold?

The bottom line is that the company is continuing to do its work, and many investors are just holding. Some - myself included - have added to their positions today.

The SP may have touched 40p last week, but that's not really relevant for me as I wasn't buying or selling at that price. In theory I could have sold Friday and bought back today, but very rarely do people actually do this - despite what you might read on here. So I am not going to measure imaginary "losses" against a momentary high. Take a step back and you can see that the share price right now is +9% over the last 7 days, +14% YTD and +27% over the last three months.

If you got caught on the spike created by the crew last week, then try to understand what happened and learn from it for the future. We have all been there! But there is no point raging about "unknown forces".

Until you gain a greater depth of knowledge and understanding bingo1975, I think you may be right to stay away.

Agreed. The run up to the RNS was a bit silly though, both on this board and in price action. SP is basically back to where it was a week ago. Degsy and co collected their money, aided and abetted by some longer term residents of this board who clearly found it hard to resist. If you want a laugh, take a look back at the thread titles and content from late last week. All those posts from people saying they'd just added another 30/40/50k... Either those trades are well underwater now, or they never happened. Take your pick....

I wouldn't get too fixated on the 40p touched last week. It was a chimera. Anyone buying around 30p today has - I think - made a good entry. I am hopeful that we can get back to discussing OMI now the rampers have moved on.

This is good stuff for LFD makers, but it isn't new news. The Lancet article was published last week, and generated a fair volume of secondary coverage. In the price IMO.

Ok. There's no conspiracy. The company is continuing to do its work, and many investors are just holding. The price today is +9% over the last 7 days, +14% YTD and +27% over the last three months.

In the last couple of weeks here we have seen:

(1) a determined seller operating in blocks of 50k per ticket
(2) a concerted pumping effort involving the usual crew (even if some have new accounts to post from...)

I haven't seen any price action that isn't adequately explained by those two factors.
