Apologies if this has already been covered but this is a very active (and informative) board and I haven't had chance to read posts over the last few days. Curious why the sp has fallen. Is it because of
profit taking?
lack of information from the trials?
adverse information re the trials (surely too early for that?)
some other adverse event / information?
I am a relatively small holder in this company but feel very bullish about it and was thinking of topping up. Thoughts appreciated.
Main difference is that they have the results of clinical trials (40% doesn't seem all that good to me?) whereas Scancell as I understand it are only about to start trials.
Interesting that the article says that it doesn't work very well on tumours - an area Scancell seem to specialise in?
Hi all
Been watching SCLP for a while and took the opportunity to dip my toe in the water with a relatively small purchase on the recent fall at 3.72p.
Also trying to understand the City Financial disposal - note they held 21.287m shares on 20/4/18 - at that time 5.68% of the company.
I think the latest sale was c16m? so the other 5m of disposals will no doubt have been putting prolonged downward pressure on the SP for some time.
Concur with others that with this now out of this way and hopefully some positive news to come re trials we can hopefully start to see an upward trend.
Good luck all
Good spot. Thanks Jab
This process has now commenced where SME's are incentivised to move their banking from RBS to any one of several other banks including Santander, Yorkshire Bank, Coop and several others. As part of the EU requirement following the UK government bailout in 2008 (Brexit anyone?) RBS have put £750m into a fund where these banks offer cash incentives for them to move.
Obviously the £750m (on top of the £3Bn cost of the aborted attempt to divest W&G (bloody EU requirement again) has already been factored into the share price but the loss of income, deposits and loans to these switching businesses may not have been fully factored in.
May be I am over reacting but I worry that future earnings / profit will be significantly and adversely affected by this which in turn may drive the SP down. Any thoughts anyone?
Forgive me I'm being lazy but what are the respective holdings now of Pentland and JD and what is the relationship between them? Common shareholders / Directors?
Not read all posts so apologies if I have missed it but is there ANY evidence that Mike Ashley is in the slightest interested in Footasylum? (can't imagine it to be honest)

Ironic - I read this a lot ............. cash in the bank, no debt, forward income booked etc etc etc. That doesn't mean that this is fine / low risk. The key to this (and what none of us know) is at what margin this income is making? They are operating in a volatile market where wholesale prices have gone up considerably in the last year.
If they've not got the margins right, they could be losing money, the forward income booked then becomes a liability rather than as asset (they must continue to honour those forward agreements) and the resulting cash burn would soon use up any cash in the bank leading to cashflow problems.
I'm not invested here. I intended to dip my toe in the water when it went sub £1 but to be honest this scares me. I'm unlikely now invest in this but I do continue to keep an eye on any developments - "never say never" as they say. Good luck to all invested in here.
Ok thanks Aidan
Have I missed something as there been a formal announcement? RNS?
A word of caution to those who are looking to top up and average down. Only my opinion but I think this has further to fall so I wouldn’t be throwing good money after bad. I’m not invested here. I’ve been watching from the sidelines and doing a bit of research with a view to buying yu. Quite frankly I’m reluctant to buy in at all here now. If no more bad news came out I may be tempted sub £1. If I miss the boat and this shoots up (and I genuinely hope it does for all on here that are invested) then so be it - there will be another opportunity in due course .
There are too many rappers on here many who are sitting on losses with this share so don’t get sucked in. As I said all my own opinion. Good luck all
Been watching this for just over a week now, reading this board, researching and wondering If I should dip my toe in here for say 5k.
I understand those saying its oversold but I think you should look at the fundamentals here - particularly, although they say that most of 2019 revenue is already booked, a key fact is that they have over estimated the energy usage of their customers so that "booked" revenue may be a lot less and the margins may well be under pressure so a return to profit is unlikely imo. Speculating of course but I expect these reviews to also reach that conclusion. On that basis, I think this SP is going to take at least 12 months to recover to anything like £3+.
The posters who say on a regular basis that the SP is going to bounce and hit £2 / £2.50 / £3 are you could say deluded but quite frankly I think they are just panicking after seeing a potential loss on their investment and are trying to drive up the share price.
Only my opinion, but this might be worth a punt at £1 / £1.20 - above that I'm going to watch from the sidelines.

Ramper alert!!!
.......... Don't get me wrong imho, I think low 30's is around the bottom for this share but quite frankly I think talk of a bounce / quick rise is way off the mark.
H2 is the strongest trading period - back to school / college / uni, not to mention Xmas so yes the tills should be ringing with big queues at the checkout. This is itself creates a potential problem - the market will be expecting a strong H2 performance - if it achieves it great , the SP could rise accordingly but if it doesn't we will hover around this level / slightly lower for a long time. You could argue there's more downside than upside.
It really could go either way - as others have said digital performance is key.

Serious questions.
Why should this be viewed as oversold?
What fundamental analysis would you provide to justify a price increase?
Must admit, I was tempted to jump aboard on this several times in the low 80's. Glad I didn't now and I don't see anything to change my mind in the short term at least.
Where are you? Always looked forward to reading your posts Very quiet on this board these days
for the record I've done what I normally do when I'm in a situation like this - sold half my holding at 303 - intend to buy back in if/when they fall to low 290s
not at all SoR. In fact I'm flattered - do you think that what I and others on this board do will have a material effect on the SP????????????? Crikey charlie - deluded. As always DYOR - just curious what others think thats all.
Been trading these for a while now and sitting on a 11% profit. Also been reading about some technical analysis suggesting that this share is possibly overbought. I do believe that we are seeing a longer term upward trend but am wondering if this (303p) may be a short term peak? Thoughts welcome
