Apologies if I've missed it but what are the terms on which these can be converted into shares? I understand that the conversion price is 6.2p but even so, if / when they are converted, won't it represent a sizeable dilution?
I'm just about to subscribe for additional shares under the o/o. I expect it will be oversubscribed and scaled back but just wanted to fill in the necessary information gaps before I do!
Thanks Dalester - great story about the pregnancy! 15000 does seem a high dose although I can see your logic and the benefits to her are visible so good on you. Best of luck to you and your wife.
So one can sell their entire holding now at 6.5p, subscribe for additional 4/51 at 5.5p plus an unlimited subscription at 5,5p.
(granted it may be over subscribed and you may not get what you want.)
Interesting.
Interesting timescales Dick - how did you come up with them? i.e. "just about out of cash" and getting back in "next month".
I share the view that there is likely to be a placing and hence dilution but share C7's view that this may be be offset (or at least partially by some positive news so maybe not worth trying to trade / average down and risk missing the boat.
Decisions decisions ..............
Chester - I don't know enough about SCLP to guess which way it will go but to play devils advocate for a minute - what if they are burning cash and need a rights issue to fund the ongoing trials, thus diluting the share price and even then we won't know whether the trials will be a success or failure or somewhere in between.
As a modest sized holder I do worry a little about a rights issue and wonder whether I should sell - problem is there is always a carrot dangling!!!!!!
Thanks again C7
I've just noticed the daily volumes on the 3 month chart above (I'm slowly learning!) - can see a spike on 23/10 when the volume was 7.7m - something must have happened that day I guess. Notice the spread also of 4% which I guess is pretty normal?
Best wishes to you too - only 2 more days and it will all be over .................
............... or will it? :)
Thanks C7.
Part ignorance / laziness on my part - not bothered about doing the maths for exact figures - was just trying to tap in to your knowledge on this share and what you're thoughts are when you see / post the various figures. Please don't take this the wrong way but the figures in isolation don't really mean anything unless you put some context around it.
Good point Dinoken.
I have always been of the opinion that a Conservative majority would be good for the SP at least in the short term (positive spike) but on the flip side with such a GE result, the £ would strengthen which is normally bad for this and other FTSE100 companies so maybe the spike might not be that big with the market having already priced this in. Taking that a step further maybe there is more downside that upside in the short term?
I know trying to second guess SP movements is fraught with difficulty but would welcome others thoughts.

Morning all - not been on here for a while but noticing the steady decline over last 2/3 months. Has there been some negative news or is the decline just a result of a lack of news / updates re the trials?
One other thing - C7 hope you're keeping well and I read your posts with interest. Forgive my ignorance but when you quote buy / sell / volume figures etc and what MMs will pay etc what is the significance of these figures? E.g. what is the average volume and what is the average spread %?

Thanks C7 - I have lurked on this board for a while now and have no problem with the financial side of things but no matter how much I try I very quickly get lost with all the medical terminology!!!!!!!
Might wait a little while longer to see what happens but if it goes below 7 I'm definitely topping up.
PS belated congratulations on news of your remission (?) whilst at the same time condolences on the loss of your brother.
