Anyone buying in on that funding news was a mug. No II in looking at the numbers, and for good reason. When 2 companies who had the most access to data had just made clear what a long and risky road lay ahead (hence agreeing to piecemeal traunches of cash in the months/years to come), you'd be made to expect the floor to suddenly jump up. And hey presto, we're back where we were.

This has always been a question of timing, and the rampy mugs who were keen to say 'a bid could come in at any time' are as wrong today as I said they were years ago.

"Wouldn't want to risk being out of this in case Monday brings the bid" they would say, at 20p plus. Should have said "wouldn't want to risk topping up into this fall if stackhigh calls it correct again and there's no imminent sale"!

Medi, it's about timescales. Late 2026 might see some action, by my reckoning. Obviously you can jump in before then, but there will be some lower entry points before that to exploit. I realise you've little reason to trust a random bloke on a message board, but I called it in 2021 and haven't been wrong yet. Make some money elsewhere first, then add a few million here for the bid.

Follow my lead if you've any sense: get yourself out, make a bit of money elsewhere and stick it back in here when we get closer. Posters saying FN on the hook for hundreds of millions is nonsense.

1) the 750m deal was split. Their entire exposure in this round is 500m

2) the rest of the deal is contingent. Solg fail at this stage and they've lost less than pocket change.

Who said agm 2023 and 2024 was a certainty? Who said 'fast and smart' was rubbish as we were not in control of the timeframe of a bid? Who said it would be minimum 2 years from 2 years ago? Follow the money
