You might be right. Doesnt matter because again AB has not created any shareholder value with this deal. We are almost exactly at the sp it was going to be when the deal was announced. The market judges once again that AB is leading enquest down the garden path. Time for a new CEO!
As i understand Magnus should be cash neutral to enquest 2019 but debt paying down. Assume capex about 300m and financing about 150m then 350m after capex.
Pelle - havent Done the maths yet. My guess is after all the financial trickery then enquest is getting 15k from kraken + 6k from Malaysia (after they take their cut) and 24k from the rest. Then we typically sell 4 dollars Below brent and Opex at 24. Less 80m for financing then i guess 300m before capex.
Enquest has held up surprisingly well during this turbulence but seems to be entering a new period of downward pressure. This may well be connected to the rights issue having to be decided today or catching up with the other shares. Be interesting to see if the technical supports hold or whether the market disregards the Magnus deal.
Haha rosmarin. Touche! Yeah - i do think this could be a good deal however there is no ignoring the poor position that AB has put the company in. Anyway, looking forward to a repairer spike eventually
Epic baby! Does your mother know that you're up? Take it easy you better slow down girl that's no way to go!
Don't just go scratching the donkey's backs on this forum. You also need to listen to the flip side of the coin. As Romaron pointed out most companies with the volume of accumulated losses that Enquest has would be dead in the water. I think that does say something in and by itself. 3 billion odd has been ploughed into Alma, Galia and Kraken (not just AB but shareholders and debtors funds I may add) and net production to Enquest is circa 25k. For a measly 100m and 50% profit share we get our hands on 16k barrels a day. Praise the BP gods I say. AB must have a good relationship with someone up there
I am not so worried about whether it is 20, 30, 40 or 50k barrels a day. Enquest will hopefully have their hands on Magnus soon and that appears to be a good deal. Kraken is a failure and hopefully AB has learnt that he cant deliver new projects. He simply is not skilled enough but squeezing oil out of discarded assets and picking up the crumbs that the majors discard is what enquest is good at. Onwards and upwards!
Maybe AB has suddenly realised that enquest is a public traded company and not his own private company and he better grovel to the shareholders IF he wants them to stump up for his investments and past failures.
Agreed epiphany. It is impossible for them to calculate something that in fact has not even happened yet. Mind you - it could be a conspiracy as many here suggest
